Obviously totally dissatisfied with the rude manager. Came into McDonald's today to fill out an application retrieve the paper after they printed it filled it out to then go back to turn it in explain to the manager that I did not have a phone as of the 27th of this month and I do not have an email as my phone will be turned off and I do not have internet. I then ask her when should I come back to check on the application to compromise for not having a direct way to get a hold of me. She had informed me that if they cannot email me and me fill out the paperwork then I cannot work for them.
That information of her saying that if I did not fill out the paperwork by email I cannot work for them as a lie and incorrect. If they did not want to hire me nor give me the benefit of the doubt they should have just said so first is playing ring around the rosie. After a few minutes of listening to the nonsense that was given to me I decided to tell them to throw the application away never mind as I do not want to be working under someone that would misinform employees as that falls on us not the manager.
In me doing so and reminding her that she's on camera from the store. She then goes to change her story and switch it up then tell me if that's the case and I do not have a phone as of the 27th of this month nor access to my personal email due to no internet that I could come into McDonald's for an interview check up in a few days and then fill it out there.
Mind you I've worked fast food before and recently as a part-time job for McDonald's and I already know you can fill out the paperwork at the place of business. So due to the lies the unnecessary disrespectful conflict and misinforming. I decided to leave a one-star rating as that was highly not only disrespectful misinformed and rude and very unprofessional. But it was also very unnecessary to even go down that route when everything was explained to her in advance.
So that is why I myself have left a one-star review. Hopefully this will reach the higher ups and I'll also be notifying corporate if they have one about my experience. This is sad and I hope they do better and hire someone else for the managers position who understands...
Read moreTried 4 times for them to get my order right. As I take meds that will interact with the meds. They kept getting it wrong. I was in a hurry as I'm a teacher in trainings and School starts tomorrow. They made me pull up. Brought out the wrong meal with all the condiments they kept trying to put on it. I send her back...I ordered the 2 cheeseburgers meal with tomato, mayo, and pickle. They couldn't remember that but we're saying an awful lot more of condiments. Then a bigger lady that could barely walk walked out with a piece of paper and pen. I was livid and in a hurry. I left without getting my money or my meal because I told her to go on back, not to walk the rest of the way...she laughed in my face. She told me to come back. I told her no way. I made a FB status about it and people tagged the GM. The GM messaged me. I explained and he said he could have someone bring me a meal, refund my money, and give me coupons for my students...after I told him I'm in a meeting further away from where he thought. But he repeated my order to me---WRONG! He apologized that he was with his at the dentist. And I get he's human but how can THAT many people get it wrong?!?!? So I declined his offer. I wasn't about to eat there...we live in rural WV...hard to tell what they'd do to my food knowing I was so livid about it. And I know the woman went back in talking about me...not understanding that if it was her, she'd be livid too. But I had some family who was there tell me she talked about me like a dog when she walked in. I won't eat there and I won't have my students travel out of their way to get this kind of treatment!!! Read moreThe owners/operators of the McDonald's stores in Logan county as well as some surrounding counties are really kind of awful and stuck up, as well as cheap, in my opinion. Constantly looking down their noses at anyone working there who hasnt dedicated 20+ years of "loyal service!" to them for a wage rate that's actually ridiculous considering said time dedicated to making their stores a friendlier place with sorta okay food. BESIDES their silver spoon, mommy and daddys money, foofoo owners... Food is okay. It's as good as you'd expect from any fast food chain. They're bad to re-dip French fries at the Logan location in order to make you initially think they are fresh, because they are hot and glistening and look great. You can always tell a re-dip though because within 5 minutes your fries will turn into shriveled, soggy, floppy limp noodles. Always ask for a no salt fry so they have to make fresh. Morning/afternoon is not so bad, but the evening and ESPECIALLY overnight hours fries...just go on down to Wendy's if it's around that time.
