There are a few things that make this place one of the worst McDonald's I have ever visited. First off and probably the least egregious of all, the notorious shake machine. Although they advertise Shakes at all hours of the day they clearly do not back up this claim. I stop here almost 3 days a week on my way home from work and every day I order a shake via the Mobile App. I would say around 90% of the time and at least the last 3 times i have stopped they tell me "The Shake machine is Broken" and while this in and of itself is not bad if it was broken its the fact they LIED about it. I began my life going to college and working at McDonald's. The start up process sucks. Its a big bag of liquid that's heavy and hard to carry and pour. Every morning they neglect their duties to prep the shake machine and get it running. The shake machine is not broke, their work ethic is. The lying is a big problem for me. Why can't they just tell me they have not gotten it ready yet? One time the manager came out to me at the curbside pickup and asked if I would like a Frappe, Mocha, Smoothie or anything else to replace the shake, and while this itself is a nice gesture, I do not like any of those. She also offered for me to wait 5 to 10 minutes and they could get me a shake (Even after telling me it was broken) and I said I would wait, I was off work and had no where to be in a hurry, and she stammered and asked if I was sure and in the end I got a coupon for a shake another time since I already paid for it via the app and did not receive one. This has happened to me countless times in the last few months since I started stopping there. I will say that this ONLY happens when the older, dark complected, dark hair manager is there. When it is the tall, light skinned woman I get a shake every time, even if I have to wait a minute or two, she also tells me the machine is not ready yet.
Now onto another experience I had. I was in town, not on business this time and went into the restaurant and I again used the app to order and got my food from counter when i came in and sat down. I went back up to get an ice cream and was behind a young man who was obviously the Clerks Boyfriend, they where just jabbering away talking about whatever and I hear him ask for a free frappe. She looked around and no one was looking and went and made one real quick and he handed her about 50 cents. My mind was blown! He left the store and I got my Ice Cream.
On other notes usually the food is Average to Sub Par depending on what and when I get it. The customer service can range from Amazing to outright horrible. The cleanliness is average. I would recommend another restaurant altogether or the McDonald's...
   Read moreThis place is a joke. Stopped in today to pickup a online order, pickup by time was 10:28am. Stood at the counter waiting for assistance and not one employee or manager would assist. Another customer came in and waited for 15 minutes at the front register for someone to take his order and no one would help him either. The manager (a black woman) was packing orders by the register and saw we were standing there. But refused to help. Finally after 20 minutes me and the other guy walked out. I informed my customer that I was dashing for that they would have to wait now even longer for another dasher to pickup there order. They always are rude and have attitudes with customers. If you use drive thru at the speaker instead of saying "welcome to McDonald's how may I help you today?" They answer with, "what do you want?". This is not the way to run a restaurant. They make you feel unwelcomed and like your a burger to them rather then the guy paying there bill's Employees never in correct uniform's. Most wearing blue jeans or yoga pants. Cussing on front line, eating in view of hungry customer's who can't get help from the girl stuffing her face and no one cares to hear about her personal problems at home. I have over 25 years working and running restaurants. I have worked at a McDonald's before in Rochester and I tell you this if any of what I saw today was to happen there people would be getting fired and replaced. As for me I will never return to this store and I will be sure to inform my friends, family and anyone else I see to avoid this store. East side McDonald's isn't much better but at least there...
   Read moreBy far the worst fast food experience I've ever had. Upon arrival, I requested more time to decide. After about 20-30 seconds, I began my order and immediately the associate snapped "hold on not ready". Then she made me wait on purpose so that she could get back at me for making her wait. When we got to the first window, she was chatting with her co-worker...đ. Mature, seeing that all employees are high school kids, or act as such. Then, when I got my receipt, they attempted to up charge me for a large drink. I did not order a large drink for either meal and it did not appear on the tv screen in the drive thru. I requested a refund for the large drinks as their standard meal comes with a medium drink. After a delay, the high school manager comes by to override the order and give me a refund...in change. I paid with a credit card. Pretty sure modern systems can back out a purchase and reprocess the transaction. The worst part, the manager turns and yells "He didn't want to be up charged for large drinks!!" to the entire staff and customers within the restaurant. Well done đ. Once I got to the 2nd drive thru window, they failed to mention I was getting medium drinks and the kid decided to poor the large drinks into the medium cups right in the drive thru window...smooth đ.
