Fireside Pizza and Sandwich — Restaurant in Lolo

I used to love this place before the ownership change and remodel. It was quiet, cozy and friendly. We were so excited to go back when they remodeled and here was our experience.

This is no longer the same format restaurant - instead of ordering at your table you order at the front counter and then go sit and wait. And wait. Food took forever and when it arrived the pizza was burnt. I ordered a burger and it came out later than the pizza somehow (I think they fiddly about it) and it was wrong (mushrooms instead of jalapeno?)

Mistakes happen and I get that, but the wait staff seemed content to dump our food and go and I didn't want to wander back to the kitchen to try to find someone. That and we'd already been there so long we had to go.

Maybe my experience was unique but I don't think so since I heard a staff member apologizing to the people at 2 other tables near us. For the price and the level of service we received I have no...

Food took over 35 min to come out, not busy either,but hey good food takes time. Came and told us nachos are terrible to make and it will be just a bit more. My sandwich and fries came out and my kiddos chicken strips. Maybe luke warm. Ok well the nachos will be steaming hot coming out...nope cold as my drink. They offered a cookie because of the wait. I declined. You also pay ahead of time, tip and all. Wish i could take that back. To make if that much worse i took the other half of my sandwich for lunch the next day. Only to discover a fairly large chunk of paper inside it. The building remodel is great. Maybe help the staff out next. Its a shame i ate fireside every Friday for 5 years and it was always great....

Found a time to come in and finally try the new fireside since its grand opening. Employees were helpful getting us ordered as they have a new style of ordering first and then getting your seat. Cheese sticks were great and fast! Also we tired the lemonade freeze, it was awesome and probably one of the reasons we will go back. Our pizza came out in a timely manner however we both thought there was too much cheese on it. Overall it was a good experience, different from the past fireside but still a good option for food in the limited market of Stevensville. Will...
