Had to come check this place out because I’d heard so many amazing things and judging by how packed the spot was it must be good right? The wait time was minimal and our table clean. We were placed right next to the kitchen which had the smell of burnt oil coming from it and made the over all experience unpleasant. The server was sweet but we can only assume that her tables were spread out between the inside and outside seating because she was hard to find and forgot a few of the things we had requested with our meal. Our coffees tasted like simple bean water, could it be my own fault for making it so strong at home? My husband’s biscuits and gravy cheese thing was incredible looking, but when I poked the gravy to sample it it was unfortunately like warm. The cheeSe on the top wasn’t even melting. He still enjoyed it regardless. Unfortunately my Turkey melt was extremely disappointing, it lacked flavor, was also luke warm, soggy looking and most of the ingredients were only on one half of the sandwich slices, they’d also forgotten to add pickles and by the time the waitress remembered to bring me a side order I had already eaten one half and all my fries. The fries were delicious. My husband has also ordered a stack of pancakes, I ended up eating them and they were absolutely delicious!!! They could have benefited from being thinner but that’s me being picky. All an all I am unimpressed and not very...

I got a basic breakfast with two eggs shredded hash browns and four slices of bacon which was a very ample amount on a plate was only able to eat maybe a third of it but it's always been delicious whatever I order there I can some might say would be a little pricey but well worth it the portion sizes are grade and you can do curbside there sit down and eat outside or take it to work. Staff members are quick and efficient very clean establishment you. Was always greeted with a smile and it's sensitive to their patrons while practicing covid-19 50 precautions to the heltthe manager was even kind enough to be passing out mask for anyone who arrived without them p place was always packed and manager seemed very personable without many of the regulars it's a definite place to go for breakfast lunch or dinnerthey do have curbside and outside seating as well as wheel chart accessible and everybody was greeted with a smile and then and told to come againit's places like this they give me a little hope that things are going to be okay if we follow suit with safety precautions during this covered and in it so thank American house management and staff or exceptionally wonderful with each and...

We pull up, expectations high, palms sweaty, ready to grub. We get in there and get seated faster then I could say pancake. Our good woman sheila came and treated us to some fresh water that tasted straight out of the mountains of Alaska. As we laughed and giggled over some old memories with friends for about 30 seconds, Sheila was back and ready to take our order. As I hurried and skimmed over the menu with great pant in my brow I began to break a small sweat due to the amount of heavenly options on the menu. Bravely and boldly, I cam to a conclusion. I wanted the deluxe Belgium waffles. And man did I hit the donkey on the nose with that one. As I took my first bite my taste buds screamed as if a southern chior was hitting a high E note on a Sunday after noon. Took the second and almost passed a kidney thanks to the wrath of goodness I was feeling from the warm, sensational taste of Belgium and cream. Oh how my heart sings praises for this wonderful place. American host will always have a place in my big heart. Shout out to...

Ordered the "American Host Breakfast" consisting of 4 pancakes (I added blueberries), bacon, 2 eggs over-medium, and hash browns. The whole meal was good, but the pancakes were the best I've had in a while. They were light & fluffy and served with fresh blueberries. The hash browns had nice crisp outer layers and wasn't too greasy. Coffee was better than in the past, but just OK; a bit too weak for me. I like that they serve it in an individual carafe which keeps it hot throughout the meal. The staff provided excellent service from the moment I walked in to paying my bill. Did I mention the prices are reasonable too? Bottom line: If you're looking for a good classic American breakfast with friendly hometown American service, then I recommend a stop on in. I am definitely looking forward to my next trip back. Easily 5 of 5 stars!

The first time I tried American Host I was visiting california and I was 2 months pregnant with my first child. I remember the food being so delicious and it didn't make me sick so that meant my baby loved it too! I ate there atleast another 3 times before I left home. Now we live in lompoc, my daughter will be 2 in January and we still LOVE American Host. Such a comfortable place to enjoy a DELICIOUS meal with your loved ones. GREAT service all the time. Our go to breakfast spot when we don't feel like cooking.
