501 Pizza — Restaurant in Londonderry

I would have given them five stars, and their food is top-notch. However there have been several instances where the folks working there have had attitudes answering the phone and taking orders when I called or come in. They also say that they deliver on the website but nine times out of 10 when you're trying to get delivery they say they are only doing pickups. When I called this evening I asked for delivery but was told pick up only - so whatever, I'll go pick it up. But then after I told the guy on the phone the 3 items I wanted, and after every one of them I got a obviously frustrated reply of "is that all", I asked for a total and he hung up on me. I don't even want to go get the darn food now! Great food, reasonable prices (not great but definitely comparable to other pizza places), and usually a great experience. I know sometimes it's easy to get frustrated after working long days all week long. But if I were trying to sell a product to a bunch of customers I would be sure to put on a smile and make them feel welcome. If you don't want the high volume of customers or can't handle so much, you shouldn't be selling anything they want! I live across the street from this place. I have gone there 3 times and my disappointment increases each time. The first time I went I got a Big Mac pizza which was okay at best. I then went back a second time and tried to order a wrap but most of the ingredients that were on the wrap they happen to be out of that day so I had to change my order and I ended up getting a steak and egg wrap. The steak pieces were much too big. I decided to give this place one last chance tonight and I ordered a chicken Cesar salad (that’s it). I couldn’t believe the sticker price when the guy told me $12.51. I have gone to other places and they don’t charge nearly as much for that (under $10!!). When I got the salad home, I thought they forgot the dressing because I didn’t see the container but then I realized that my salad was covered in Cesar dressing (I usually like putting on myself so I can save some for later). My lettuce was all wet and the croutons were soaked. Not going back. The people who run the place are nice but I’m taking my business else where and will go the extra few miles for another...

Eddie Murphy's 501 Pizza absolutely deserves a five star. This is not your basic pizza place (which we have so many "basic" pizza places around this area). Whenever I go, I make sure to order something new. Last night I ordered the chicken and broccoli alfredo pasta in a bread bowl. I was expecting to get something along the lines of panera's bread bowls, but I was so wrong! They used their own handmade dough in a deep 9in. pie pan and filled it to the top with their own homemade chicken broccoli Alfredo. Then, Topped it with mozzarella as well! I had some, I gave some to my daughter and my son. It's the next day and I'm still eating leftovers. You will not go hungry or regret ordering anything on the menu! All bread products, gravy's and sauces (from buffalo, BBQ to Alfredo's and marinades) are handmade including the pesto.
