Angie's Gourmet Deli — Restaurant in Long Hill Township

Horrible experience- not sure why this place has good reviews, but I did see some reviews that shared in my negative experience in terms of getting catering orders completely wrong and arguing with customers instead of apologizing or trying to correct their errors. We ordered two trays of sandwiches and wraps for my daughter in laws baby shower, and everything we received was wrong. I called to tell them this and the owner Angie was extremely argumentative and defensive claiming “my order was too stressful and confusing”. All I asked for was 1) grilled vegetable wraps, 2) chicken cutlet wraps, 3) chicken cutlet on rye, and 4) roast beef on rye. Really don’t see how that’s confusing. Instead I received grilled vegetables on rye, grilled chicken on sub rolls, and roast beef on sub rolls…? But what was truly mind blowing was how unprofessional and rude the owner Angie was when I called- arguing, blaming me, no apology, and refused to give me a partial refund. I don't know why everyone raves about this place. She over charges you with no reason. Baked Ziti with no ricotta for all for my Easter guests. Who ever heard of baked ziti with no ricotta?! This is the worst Baked Ziti we ever ordered. I also ordered a tray of lasagna. She ruined this as well?! 2 catering orders were a total mess! This was beyond a total mess. Sorry but it's true! Never again. She quotes you one price on the phone. Then when I paid in cash she said it was 10.00 more. Then she charges you 2.00 for a paid receipt. She makes mistakes and accuses me of being wrong. She is not nice to deal with. She is always right even when she is wrong . She loves to argue as a paying customer!!! Poor customer service! My catering order for the Far Hills Races last week was incredible! I ordered 3 assorted platters of sandwiches and the Mixed Dessert Platter. The sandwiches were made in the morning, unlike everyone else's around our spot who ordered from the typical places that start making the orders 2 days in advance. They were so fresh from the bread/wraps to the meats to the cheeses. Just awesome! Everyone was beyond impressed. We will definitely use Angie's for all our catering needs going forward.
