Has a nostalgic feel to it like it did years ago in the 90s... the food used to be always delicious when the original owner Jerry ran it, after all these years but, not happy that they don't follow the old ways and charge for a extra dressing for a salad when other restaurants don't charge... the shrimp could've been done better for the pasta if it didn't have the shell on it to where you have to peel it off just to eat it, the pizza is very greasy and just overall not as good as it used to be, the staff is friendly for males working here but back in day the women were way better and much more awesome, the calzone was a lil dry and not like a calzone should be with at least butter on outside of it, the bread was very burnt on outside and hard to bite into, honestly over all this restaurant to everyone including food critics like me, I give it one more year if that fpr this place to survive but honestly I don't see it staying on the map that long at all especially as a Italian restaurant, at its core is on same level as buy chef boyardee from grocery store. Very sad how this place has turned out to be far from how it used to be and feel. Spent $70 on everything and when I went to pay they had zero change in register which they should always have change for their customers. Honestly I'd say stay away from this restaurant as its not really worth the time and money to eat here and the food is mediocre at best but for those of the older generations its a better place for them to eat than anyone younger than that, just very sad. If Jerry was here this restaurant would deserve the full 5 stars but sadly it does not deserve even a one star review....the service is only thing thats best about this place other than the management cussing at the servers while customers...
Read moreWent on 1/15/21 and while customers are required to wear masks, the staff PREPARING THE FOOD apparently are not.
For what it's worth, no gloves and no hair restraints/hats either. Now gloves aren't typically required for all kitchen actions, but these guys were not concerned with any safety measures so I wouldn't expect them worn at all.
Normally I would have just left, but I let the shorter older lady at the counter know, and she seemed unconcerned. I took the pie home and threw it in a 500f oven and lost the salad.
The pie was OK, though if it's $2 for a toppings across a whole pie, I would expect either $1 for half-pie toppings or twice as much on the 1/2 pie. Neither was the case. So the value was a little off given it was a $20 large with pepperoni and beef and onion on only half.
Really though, it's the safety not the value that has me concerned, and I won't be back anytime soon. Can't follow mask policy, you likely cannot follow handwashing policies, or general temperature and food safety policy. Eat at...
Read moreMy husband and I ordered from here Friday for dinner and was VERY pleased with the food we received. Our normal italian restaurant recently closed so we have had to do a bit of "shopping around" to find a good replacement. We cant believe we havent come across this wonderful place sooner!! We ordered for a pick up and got the large stromboli with wings and 2 slices of pizza. First off, the stromboli was enormous!! Filled to bursting with cheese (exactly how i love it) and the pizza and wings were amazing. The staff was super friendly when i went to pick it up and she even called me to apologize for forgetting my marinara. I happened to still be close so i popped by. I would definitely recommend this place and we will be using this wonderful restaurant as our new go to for italian. Thanks for such...
