Came here for a delicious breakfast and was thoroughly disappointed throughout the experience all the way to the end. First of all came in and not a word was said to us or was told what the wait time would be for a table. 5-10 mins passed and a waitress finally came to us to greet and seat us, we sat down and had to wait another 15 minutes for her to come back after we had to get her attention for drinks. We got our drinks and our menus and were ready to order and we had to get her attention again after another 15 minutes had passed that we were ready to order, she took our orders and placed them. At this point we were pretty hungry so we were excited to get our food; it would've been different if the place was slammed with people and we could see that the waitresses were clearly busy, but this was not the case on a Sunday morning where other patrons were also waiting to have their orders taken too while we saw waitresses disappear to the back and not return for at least 10 minutes; 20 minutes passed and my fiance had to ask, "How much longer for our food?" to which our waitress said she would check, 10 minutes passed and she came back to us and told us, "It'll only be a few more minutes". The few more minutes was actually 15 more minutes and our food came out. I ordered a bacon, egg and cheese sandwich with home fries, easy enough right? Wrong. There was not a speckle of bacon to be seen on the sandwich and our friend's mom asked for a gyro platter with the eggs and home fries and there was no gyro to be seen. At this point we were beyond disgusted and frustrated. The quality of the food looked something of comparison to below food safety regulations, my egg was almost raw on the sandwich and the home fries looked soggy and oily. We went to the front desk and brought our plates with us to show our waitress because we were about to leave we were so fed up after waiting 40+ minutes for food. We complained about my lack of bacon on the bacon egg and cheese sandwich and the waitress replied "Well it should be under the egg", to which my fiance pulled the egg up and showed it was not there. Overall had to walk out and leave due to the disgust and the messing up of orders all around, the waitress was then apologetic and wanted to remake the food but it was already too late. 0/10 would never come back here again, I hope management can fix these problems they have and the food...
Read moreThis is clearly a place where all are not welcomed. Waitress took my order and made no suggestions. She didn't ask if this was my first time ABSOLUTELY NO CONVERSATION!!! White family walks in. How's your day? guys met at the door with coffee. I was never asked about a hot beverage it the coldest day of the winter. I was given water. That's it. All the other patrons were, of course, White. They laughed and talked the entire time. My food was literally dropped off, and the waitress didn't ask if I needed anything else! She left that cold platter and never returned to ask how my food was. SHE SAID NOTHING ELSE TO ME!!! An older white gentleman was standing at the door as I entered. I looked up once I was seated to notice he'd turned completely around and staring at me and didn't stop even after I stared back for about 5 minutes. The look was what are you doing here are you lost!! I woke up around 6 am. this morning and wanted breakfast. I read all these raving reviews about Sally's family and kindness and welcoming everyone and all being treated the same. Now I know who's writing these reviews it's NOT US!!! I will share this post with every one of us to caution them about rushing into Sally's because it may not be the welcoming gathering we expect. I asked questions about the menu, and I had a direct cold answers No effort on the waitresses part to give me clarity. It was yes, no!!! I looked at the door on my way out for a sign that may have indicated who was welcomed and who wasn't some white owned mom, and pops are getting selective about the population of people they serve!!!! WELL, NOW I KNOW!!! I've been kicking myself because I left a tip. But, I've just realized they really did deserve it as they gave me a LARGE TIP IN RETURN!!! Sad Day!!!! đ This review may even excite them. Yes, I'm giving them...
Read more2nd visit... Figured I would give them another shot because they have so many stars, but again complete disappointment. I ordered the bacon egg and cheese and hash browns. The hash browns look like somebody vomited on them, the cheese was simply slapped onto the sandwich ice cold, the eggs were lukewarm and the bacon was barely warm. I drank my coffee, told them I'm not eating their food, they apologized and I left. I don't know what kind of experiences is these people are having when you see all these great reviews, but this is my second time here randomly out of the blue, and again complete garbage.
1st visit-I was in town and decided to try this restaurant. I ordered the eggs benedict that came with a side of home fries. Unfortunately, I selected this place based off its previous reviews. But I cannot share the same experience. The eggs benedict were saturated in Hollandaise sauce that completely destroyed the meal. The sauce had too much sugar in it and it tasted very generic. The ham that was used was too thick for the dish and one of the eggs was well done. The little potatoes served with the dish were repulsive. The seasoning was lackluster, they were barely warm, and they did not compliment the dish. The individual I went to this restaurant with did not enjoy his bacon egg and cheese. He also mentioned that the little potatoes were just not good. The service was good and the coffee was good. The people inside this restaurant were friendly and the service was good. I will not be returning for breakfast...
