This is my first time ever writing a restaurant review. This place deserves SO much more than an overall of 4.3 stars. I can’t stand by and read reviews from non-Iranians talk about how the food doesn’t live up to their standards of what they think “Mediterranean food” is. As a Persian woman who just moved to Orlando, I’ve been looking to find an authentic Persian restaurant and I’m so glad to have finally found one. The food tasted 100% authentic and like it was homemade. We ordered the kashk o bademjan, joojeh kabob, kabob barg, and ghorme sabzi. The kashk bademjan was delicious and smoky and the bread was warm and fluffy. The joojeh was super soft and juicy. The barg was tender and flavorful. The Ghorme sabzi was perfect and NOT oily (most restaurants butcher Ghorme sabzi by making it too oily). The rice was buttery and delicious. Also i loved the atmosphere. It made me feel so nostalgic. It really felt like i was eating at a family members house. I loved the pictures and paintings of Iran and the oldie but goldie Iranian music playing. This place is my new Persian food plug. I will be coming back regularly!

I have been searching for an Iranian restaurant and this one came pretty darn close to perfect! My only warning to Persians is there is no Sabzi plate and a lack of good deserts (no Akbar Mashti or Falludeh) the Tadig was generous but very under cooked. Now to the highlights!! The tea was perfect! A rich cardamom flavor with offerings of sugar cubes and sticks (the sticks are an extra charge) The lavash is warm and soft. There was a very unique yet aromatic flavor to the ghormeh sabzi dish. The House Kabob Platter is where I found my most gluttoness joy! The rice is tender, buttery and cooked to perfection with large skewers of Koobideh, Chicken Koobideh, Beef Shish, and Joojeh. (We opted to add 2 skewers of Baarg at medium rare; tender and so so juicy!) All in all this place hit that craving and left me wanting it again and again! Cannot wait to get another chance to dine at this gem a second and hundredth time!

Persian food has a long, storied history that dates back many centuries. Ali Baba lets us taste this history today, providing a phenomenal dish, with incredible appetizers. This is one of the few times I will say that the atmosphere and service claim a back seat to the delicious offerings. I highly recommend the kabob (I mean, it's in the name 😂), lamb or chicken (or both). My favorite. And you must try the rice if you have never had Persian food before. It's not crispy on top, but the taste is still there. The bread is also very good, which soaks up the meat and vegetable juices. The naan is great with the many appetizers available. Just a bit of a warning, come hungry because you will leave ready to take a nap. Try the food eating in or to go. I have tried both and the quality doesn't suffer through travel. Overall, I definitely recommend!

Where do I begin..

Time after time coming Ali Baba the experience is always magnificent from beginning to end. From the moment that we arrive we are greeted warmly and with smiles. The owner and staff are the most courteous and professional folks that one can encounter and they go above and beyond to make sure that the experience is phenomenal the entire time. Everyone puts in effort to make you feel welcome and at home and this is very important as I am always with my family and friends. I cannot commend them enough, as they will supersede expectations.

Now lets move onto the food...If you are looking for authentic and best tasting Persian food in the entire Orlando and neighboring area, this is the place to go. From the salads, appetizers and main dishes, everything comes out as ordered and the taste is unmatched from any other restaurants that we have tried, and they are many lol. Even through these tough times that we re facing with the current Pandemic, the food quality and taste has not changed and no corners are ever cut. Every dish that we have tried, we have enjoyed and that is why we continue to come back. The prices are incredibly fair and the amount of food you receive is more than plenty, but I assure you, it is so good that you will attempt to finish it all in one sitting. Now with what is happening, Takeout and Uber Eats is also an option which is great.

Overall, I cannot recommend them enough if you want great tasting food for great price, with large portions. Please give them a try and you will be pleased as the service from the Owners and staff is always great and makes you want to return. They deserve the recognition as they...

Extremely disappointed! Wish I had read the reviews before wasting time, money, and expectations on my birthday dinner 2 days ago. I also agree that the good reviews are from their friends, and NOT by actual customers. I was a huge fan of the original restaurant, and was aware it was under new ownership- but didn't think it would be this bad. Walked in & was yelled at by an old Russian lady that didn't know where to seat us. Then shifted tables around that blocked us in. Then yelling in Russian back and forth to the servers while we were trying to enjoy the terrible food. For anyone to call the food good, traditional & authentic is hugely misleading. The tabbouleh wasn't even right - the tomatoes laid on top of the parsley. The desserts were American, like cake or something. The chicken was mostly legs & just not what you expect for $20 per person. Overpriced & so not authentic. It's sad how Ali Baba went from an authentic, fine dining, welcoming establishment - to THAT - Chinese Buffet mimic with a Russian flare. I remember the owner & his lovely wife - I hope they took their money & ran from this business deal where their original creation & name have been destroyed. I can make the dishes better myself - and I'm American! Never again. We had an amazing experience at RA Sushsi the night before on I-Drive, should have gone there for my birthday dinner. And spent less for...

DOUBLE CHECK your order each time, whether dine in or take out. Did take out, the guy charged me $60 at first. When he repeated the order, all seemed right. Then as I’m waiting for food and did the math, I got only $37 as my total. When I asked, he admitted the girl charged me 2 platters, just vs Kabab skewers only. He first said your difference is $13. Then I told him ring up and the do math, that seems less. He said oh yes it’s $23 refund rather. Then when the food finally came 20 mins of waiting, I asked hey can you give me a chili sauce. He proceeds to ring me up $.56. I’m like LOL are you really charging for this even after 20 mins of waiting? He goes “well I’m the one that gave you the money”. But the money he gave was incorrectly charged extra of my order? That was rude, I told him there’s something called customer service still, and I said it’s ok don’t worry about it. He said I’m getting you order so you can go. When he came back, I gave him $1 anyways as a tip, which would be 2 sauces worth money anyways, hoping he would get the point how rude, introverted and mannerless his customer service was.

The food is amazing, I’ve been eating here since I was a kid. The other server guy in past with the tattoo was such a great host. This guy really shames the reputation of my...
