Gara's Pizza — Restaurant in Lopatcong Township

A few weeks ago, we ordered a cheesesteak Sicilian pizza, but got a regular one delivered instead. Not only that, but the slices were DRENCHED in sauce, saturated with oil, and fell apart when you picked them up. $43 with appetizers (at least "they" weren't soggy.)

These slices are drenched in sauce, and the oil saturated the box. (Photos included.) Yes 3 pieces were missing (which may negate my complaint in that "yeah bit you still ate it" way), but there were 3 of us who all suffered through a slice, and I can tell you not one of us took another slice.

UPDATE: Seeing your reply to "Lauren S," I admit I should have called to lodge a formal complaint. We both could have.

However, I've been ordering from you for so long that I didn't expect this. It was as if it was just shoved out the door and delivered "as-is" for time constraints. Some more attention to the order should have been given.

Lastly, I'm not nor did I ever question your quality, but being a customer for many years now, and having had such good food from you, rather I COUNTED on your quality. That's the difference.

It's taken me 2 or 3 edits of this review to say what was really on my mind, and I think pretty much sums it up. I'm not counting out any future business with you, just that this has taken me aback a bit. Yours...

Gara's happens to be on my family's #1 favorite pizza restaurants list. They never fail at making the food so delicious, inexpensive, their atmosphere so warm and welcoming. We absolutely love it there. Their garlic knots are our absolute favorite side order. We always buy plenty of them to go. We love their pizza, not too greasy and perfect in texture, flavor and the sauce isn't chunky like most places. We have ordered pizza, sandwiches, dessert and so much more. We will always order...

After living in the area for 20 years, I feel I can safely say that Gara's is the best pizza in the area! 🍕! Their plain cheese pizza has a very light and crispy crust. The sauce is sweet and a great mix of cheeses. Friendly employees and classic pizzeria decor. I am looking forward to branching out to try the many other items...
