The Beachcliff Diner — Restaurant in Lorain

Update: Response to owners response. Not ONCE did I come into the establishment on today's visit and asked for a free meal nor have I ever went to any establishment asking for one...just asked for my items to be made to go. Also, who the heck do you have responding to your reviews? A third grader? Poor grammar just like your service and quality of food. Haha

Third time coming here... three times too many!!!

First time... less than par food quality on top of a 25 minute wait after being seated just to get water.

Second time... immediate service but found hairs in our hashbrowns...

Third time... quickly greeted with zero care of the visit, poured coffee and wouldn't ya know it, a long eye lash floats to the the top of the mug. Told the waitress (who apparently is the manager), told her about it and asked for my food to go. Zero apology and she quickly scattered into the kitchen.

When she came out she asked if I wanted condiments I replied by telling her I just wanted to take my food to go and I was fine. Mind you, I stayed calm, kind and quiet about the issue.

When she brought the to-go container I showed her the hair in the coffee mug in which she quickly walked away and said "it happens".

She then, minutes later met me at the cash register where she had a very visible attitude and I couldn't help myself by saying "a sorry would have been nice". She began to argue with me. I asked for the manager, she informed me that she was the manager. I asked for her name she replied with "it doesn't matter ." I then asked to speak to the owner im which she informed me they were not there....I again asked for her name and was met with "it doesn't matter. "

Well done!!! Not.

Below is the to-go breakfast I received. Undercooked Sunnyside up eggs, hash browns instead of the home fries I asked for, soggy rye bread and three undercooked sausage...

Hidden gem here in Lorain! This place is amazing. First time in and we were instantly greeted with smiles and warm service. The place was packed and we were sat right away! We had drinks in less than a minute. Food came out quickly, hot and cooked perfectly. I asked for medium eggs and they were PERFECT! Whites were fully cooked with a runny yolk! Many places fail on medium eggs but not Beachcliff! We had their cinnamon raisin French toast special and the bread came from Amish country, it was so good! Even the quality of their coffee is better than your average diner coffee. Service was great! Virginia was our server and she was running all over the place taking care of all her guests with a huge smile and a positive attitude. She was attentive and kind. We truly had a great experience and we will definitely be back and more than likely become regulars! So glad we found our new...

Went here for the first time today to have breakfast, food was excellent and cooked exactly how I like it.. I had the corned beef, eggs over medium, and hash browns with their homemade sausage gravy- VERY GOOD!! My boyfriend had the eggs over biscuits and gravy, he said it was delicious. He also ordered hash browns and asked them to add onions and peppers, that was really good as well..

Our server Carissa 5⭐ was very nice and attentive without being overly attentive (I hate that, lol). Atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming. Great place!! I'll be going bk for biscuits and gravy, I judge a place by their sausage gravy and it was excellent!! Can't wait to try the country fried steak!!

I think we've found our new favorite diner!!! 5⭐
