I used to come here quite frequently for sandwiches and bread which they used to do a good job of. However recently I’ve been severely disappointed with the quality of their sandwiches which have gone from tasty and filling to wondering where all the meat and vegetables from previous sandwiches have gone? That alone did not dissuade me and I just stopped ordering sandwiches. What caused me to write this review and boycott the bakery are the events of this morning… I went in for a few loaves of bread. I selected my loaves and found myself third in line with my toddler in the stroller (my son wanted to walk around and was cranky in his seat). The worker proceeded to take the two orders in front of me and when they had paid he stepped away. I waited (why he didn’t close out the line before moving to other tasks idk) as he went to work on drinks for the customers ahead of me. My son started complaining loudly which was annoying to the other customers which I understand, but instead of trying to finish my purchase (which he should have finished his line before making drinks anyway) he then asked me to leave the register and sit down or otherwise wait instead of checking me out. It was at this point that I decided to leave...
Read moreI went in today and the ladies were extremely passionate about the goods. I walked in and was immediately greeted with wonderful southern hospitality. The ladies asked me what I wanted and I simply said a sandwich and coffee. I left it entirely up to them to give me what they would have picked for themselves and I couldn’t have asked for a better meal. The bacon egg and cheese sandwich was on point! The bread was nutty and complimented everything else. The garlic spread was a nice touch to the flavor. The coffee was a nice Louisiana blend that had perfect balance and was a great start to my day. The conversations that took place here felt like a small town coffee shop. Everyone that walked in during my 30 minute stay was treated like the star of the moment. Everyone that walked in and our had a grin from ear to ear.
You can’t ask for better customer service. It was a delight to eat there today and you guys have certainly won my loyalty. We will be by this weekend...
Read moreI love Great Harvest in general, but this location is particularly warm and welcoming. In addition to the breads, scones etc that you'd expect there is a full menu with lattes, salads, and sandwiches that rivals any other cafe! It's got cozy seating inside and out (one of the reasons I go out of my way to come here despite living closer to the Burke location), but really it's the staff that make the place. Anyone that's ever helped us there is friendly, but the owner - I think, a very kind woman who is there every time I go - is special. Today a friend and I were trying to have lunch while our hands were full with 2 babies and 2 toddlers, and the owner took the time to cut my daughter's cinnamon roll for her - at first in quarters, and then when she saw me struggling to cut it one handed with the side of my fork while holding my infant, actually sat down with her to make them bite sized. This is the kind of thing that brings me back,...
