We recently held a party (Aqeeqa Ceremony ) at Lasani Kabob. Extremely dissatisfied with the service and food quality. We had been eagerly anticipating our special event at Lasani, but unfortunately, it turned out to be complete disaster. The air conditioner was broken, making the venue extremely hot and uncomfortable for our guests. The food, which was expected to be the highlight, was terribly prepared and failed to meet our expectations. We had ordered Chicken Behari Kabob, but without our knowledge or consent, they substituted it with Chicken Tikka and a terrible version of that.
To make matters worse, the Seekh Kabob was a disaster, it was frozen, dry and utterly terrible. It's clear that the kitchen was not prepared to handle our even, and the food suffered greatly as a result.
To add insult to injury, we were overcharged for the poor service and substandard food. This was not just a minor disappointment but a catastrophic failure that ruined a very special occasion. We had trusted Lasani Kabob to deliver a memorable experience, but they failed miserably.
The Owner Atif's response was equally disappointing. He made a brief appearance, only to vanish without addressing our concerns or offering any apology or compensation for the inconvenience. It seemed like he was more interested in abandoning ship than taking responsibility for their failures.
The final blow came when we asked them to pack the unused food, which we had already prepaid for 119 guests (only 107 showed up). Shockingly, they refused, claiming that the food was finished! This was a blatant disregard for our investment and a clear demonstration of their lack of customer service.
As a result, I was left to face embarrassment in front of my friends and family, and my special day was ruined. The memories that we had hoped to create were replaced with disappointment,...
Read moreThis is a mom & pop gem of a Pakistani restaurant. Great $10 dinner buffet during the week for quick bite of warm food - for vegans, there was salad, tamarind sauce, rice, chickpeas, and yellow split lentils. I also ordered okra off the menu and it was much better than expected, full of flavor, spice, and a bit of heat to round it out.
For the buffet for non-vegans, there are several vegetarian (like spinach and desserts and yogurt dressing) and meat options (ground meat dish; shredded meat dish; and tandoori chicken) + naan (has yogurt in it). The person I ate dinner with thought the tandoori buffet chicken was far more tender, juicy, and tasty than she was expecting picking it up from the buffet.
It's a very small business I've worked at these restaurants before; the families work hard. Please support these local non-chain restaurants; I watched them, run around during dinner, preparing take out orders and customers never had to wait to pick up their order and timing with their food prep was really punctual.
She let me have rice & chickpeas instead of naan (not vegan) which comes w your order off the menu, which was very appreciated. Most places refuse to provide alternatives to the naan which comes off a bit unreasonable when you end up only being to eat one dish of one type of veggie so it's hard to feel like it's a real meal.
I'd come here more often if I...
Read moreI ordered take out on a Thursday evening. I picked up the Chicken Pakora appetizer, Butter Chicken, Chicken Tandoori, and Lamb Biryani for the family. I found the rice to be high quality and very flavorful as were all the items. There were complaints that the butter chicken was dry. The Chicken Pakora was my favorite which I ate mixed in with my Lamb Biryani. They gave me a ton of rice with the latter dish with barely any Lamb. Consequently, the chicken Pakora proved to be part of my entrée. Side note: the food gave me a bit of indigestion late into the night. Not enough to warrant Pepto Bismol and I didn't feel the urge to go to the bathroom or anything; but, I find it worthy of noting because it did disturb my sleep and I can eat spicy food like the best of them but I did not have any extreme heat added to the food. I think it was just the regular combination of ethnic spices that stomach may not be accustomed to. When I revisted the leftovers for lunch, I experienced the same indigestion but it tapered out before bed time. Thus, I would recommend that if you are not accustomed to this type of cuisine, I would have it for lunch and see how it...
