Al's Hot Chicken — Restaurant in Los Angeles

I tried this place after hearing about it from a friend and it was great! I got the combo with two sliders and fries and ordered one hot and one medium; the website says their medium is considered spicy, but I didn’t find it very spicy. I’d get hot if you want your chicken to be spicy, there was a good amount of spice and the flavor was actually really good. I also ordered an Xtra Hot tender on the side and and the spice smacked me unexpectedly, but despite that it had a good flavor!

I was also confused by their sauces at first. I thought their hot sauce was going to be like a Buffalo sauce packet, but it’s their special spicy sauce/more like a dipping sauce. Their white sauce is just ranch, and their honey sauce tastes like chic fil a sauce. Their chicken is also halal which is a plus!

Before ordering I read the reviews and saw one about how the sandwich/buns get soggy fast. When I arrived for pick up, the cashier started putting together my order. I wasn’t in a rush and it didn’t take long so I didn’t mind. I spent 15-20 minutes getting home and one of my sliders was a little soggy but the other wasn’t. i chose not to make a review upon the first incident (due to me being a regular and the fact that they always appear friendly) but i have now encountered 2 incidents where the manager/owner .. whoever he may be, was completely rude, inconsiderate, and extremely unprofessional. im not sure if it’s because they don’t understand certain requests or get confused, either way that is not the fault of the customer if everything is clearly stated on our end. maybe they need someone else taking orders who can properly understand instructions but the amount of unprofessionalism they have shown both times was enough to make me no longer want...

First time trying this place after seeing an ad on instagram and they happen to be in my area. Came in the place was busy but line was empty. Taseen was super helpful and recommended me number 2 combo. Seemed like 2 sliders was the way to go. I'm a hot chicken fiend too so opted for xtra hot. Warning this will burn. Delicious too lots of smokiness to it as well. Not overly spicy where you can't taste anything.
