Church's Texas Chicken — Restaurant in Los Angeles

Horrible service and workers. I order 3 biscuits with my meal and received my order. Once I checked to make sure my order was correct and all there. I checked to see if my biscuits were done the way I asked for and seen and felt that they were hard. I return them and told them can I have another batch because they were cooked too long and too hard to eat. I was told that it will take 4 mins to make and to pullup so they can hand the person behind me their food and wait . There's no room to pull to the side so the person behind can get through so I parked in the first parking stall closer to the exit of the drive thru and waited for the 4 mins like I was told to. I get out my car and walked to the door and both doors was locked. I knocked on the door and showed my receipt and the male worker motioned go to the drive-thru I get back in my car and proceeded back to the drive-thru window. Waited for the lady who took my order to come back to the window to hand me the 3 biscuits I had ordered and was told to wait. I waited at the window for 4 extra mins and all I hear was laughter and see them cleaning up that's why no one came back to the window so I decided to honk still no response. I waited at the drive-thru window and people behind me was like what's going on? I'm like I don't know I'm still waiting on the other part of my order. Finally another worker came and looked and said we're closed. I told her I just paid for my order and was waiting on the rest of my order because I was told I had to wait. She said sorry we're closed. I told her I'm not ordering and held up my receipt explaining I'm just picking up the rest of my order since the doors was locked to even go in to get it. I told her find the person who took my order because she told me to wait for it to be fixed and I paid for the order already. After me explaining to the worker that I paid for my order for 2 mins she finally asked the girl who took and she confirmed that I was waiting for the 3 biscuits I had ordered. Luckily I received them because I wouldn't have gotten a refund for them since they were closed. If they were closing at that time I didn't see any signage that said they are closing at a certain time. I won't be coming back to this establishment again after...

This place has been here for many years. I have nit visited here in years . I went last night. THIS IS WHAT I NOTICED. I NOTICED A CASHIER WITH LONG HAIR AT THE WINDOW. HE REACHED OUTSIDE THE WINDOW. HE TOUCHED AND GRABBED THE OUTSIDE COUNTER. HE TOOK MY MONEY. HE WENT OVER TO HELP WITH THE FOOD. HE TUCKED AND FOLDED THE BAG WITH HIS SAME DIRTY HANDS. JUST NASTY HABITS. THIS IS WHY FOOD SERVICE WORKERS SHOULD WEAR A MASK, GLOVES AND PRACTICE WASHING HAND IN BETWEEN TASKS. I WATCHED HIM SMH THIS WAS DISGUSTING TO WATCH HIM. I WONT GO BACK. COVID 19 SHOULD HAVE EVERY BUSINESS ON THEIR TOES . THE FOOD CHAIN SHOULD . I REALLY READDRESS THEIR STAFF . BETTER HYGIENE AND CLEANING HABITS SHOULD BE ENFORCED. IM SURE IF YOU GO THERE AND JUST PAY ATTENTION, YOU TOO WILL NOTE THAT THE STAFF ISNT. BEING CLEAN AROUND YOUR FOOD. Though there not perfect, I believe Church's is underrated. Mine's, is a Los Angels perspective, though I live in the Bay. Gone is Jim Dandy, Golden Bird-well, there may be a few of those left-and Pioneer. But not Churches. As far back as the late 70s, my family has been eating their chicken.🍗 My Mom would stop by the Churches there on the corner of Vernon Avenue and Western, smack dab in ‘the hood,’ after the meeting was over at the local Kingdom Hall that’s been on Vernon for years, and still is. Only now it’s a double Hall. If fact, I prefer Churches chicken over, (West of East Texas) Popeye's, and Kentucky Fried chicken. You can use just one thigh from KFC to oil down if you have ashy issues. Heck, you can probably do the same thing with Churches! Really, after it's just been fried, I'll take two of those wing/thigh pieces. They go rather nicely with a Heineken. Pray for me.🏃‍♂️👍🦴💣 Don't sleep on their deep fried...
