They do not regulate the teens and children who come in and like to be disruptive. It’s as if the “gentle parenting” has translated to the “gentle librarian” . I live in the community and come in quite often to do my extensive studies for pre-doctoral courses. Just as anyone else , the library is a quiet space and for you to zone in and study or even venture off into reading . I will not be coming back to this library as it is absolutely disruptive . For as small as it is … there is NO WAY that these children continue to get away with murder . This may explain why the local district grading scale has dropped because the libraries have turned into the hangout spot rather than a quiet zone and being studious. I will not be returning as there are a plethora of professionally ran quiet public libraries that can truly uphold the reputation of what LAPL staff should enforce when disruption's arise.
