Delicias de El Salvador — Restaurant in Los Angeles

Ended up in this restaurant only after the restaurant I originally wanted to go to was super busy. I mean what could possibly go wrong its only pupusas. Right?! As I get there Im quickly greeted as the restaurant was not busy at all. I proceeded to order my drinks, pupusas and an order of tamales de elote. Food timing was not bad about a 10 minute wait. Pupusas were average, not the best but definitely not the worse. But the curtido(cabbage salad) that the pupusas came with tasted like they've been sitting in storage for weeks. No flavor and tasted like refridgerator. Absolutely disgusting!!!! Drinks were good but the tamales arrived and they were the smallest greasiest corn tamales I have ever seen. They also appeared to be old and reheated ones. That was the last straw and I decided to talk to the manager in which a guy arrived and he was courteous and nice but the lady, she was a feisty one let me tell you. As I proceeded to tell her the curtido salad was really bad and that the tamales looked bad as well and that I didnt even touch them due to it I didn't want to pay for them. She rudely called me a cheapskate for not wanting to pay for them. I mean shes lucky I even payed for my food after that comment but whatever I just advised her that her restaurant was serving a poor excuse of Salvadorean food and proceeded to pay for my bill except for the nasty tamales which were fried after I had ordered them regular not fried, I should add! Lol. I still feel like taking her a plate of real Salvadorean food from one of my spots as a sample to show her what real authentic Salvadorean food is supposed to taste like. But for now I think a good old visit from the health inspector might be a good start to get them on the right track. Lol. I don't like this place because the customer service is horrible. The pupusas are delicious but only if eaten there. It's not as clean you can see crumbs and trash under the tables. The reason for disliking it is because the owner told me off because I had a water bottle. I did not want to pay for water I didn't like or get sink water so naturally I thought of bringing my own but she could have kindly said she did not want water in her restaurant. Really don't think I'm coming back after that. You should treat your customers correctly not attack them for not knowing they can't bring their own drinks.

No me gusta este lugar por que el servicio al cliente es terrible. Las pupusas son deliciosas pero no mas si las come en el restaurante. No es tan limpio si ve abajo de las mesas ay basurita. La rason por que me disgusta es por que la duena fue grosera no mas por traer bebida de afuera. Era agua y la rason por que no agare agua ayi es porque no quieria tener que tomar agua de la llave. Worst Salvadorian restaurant there is. Please I repeat do not come here my total was 58.89 and me and my dad order the cheapest thing there is because we were hungry but didn't want to eat that much but my mom and my sister shared a plate of soup because for the price we thought we were going to get a pretty big soup that plate wasn't even filled half way me and my dads plate was so disappointing but I said whatever small portions can be delicious yeah no it was disgusting the food was cold I think it might of been microwaved because I hate microwaved food and I know when it is. And then my has anxiety so he left the restaurant to go get some air when they noticed they thought we were gonna leave without paying when they quickly started doing the recipe and they threw it at us and we weren't even finish when I see the price I was speechless I'm never coming here again the customer...
