Denny's — Restaurant in Los Angeles

Not the best service. As I walked in out of the rain, the older gentleman was sitting down on his phone looked at me. Did not say hi or welcome in nothing. So I then head to the restroom. Come back out some one new walks in and he gets sat. Ok. Well I guess I will sit myself. Then again the older man comes over and throws my menu on the table. As I start to feel offended. I'm like ok maybe he's having a bad day no reason to let him put me in a mood. He goes back sits down on his phone again. He seems like the only one there to help. After a while he comes back to me, I then order a coffee and the everyday value meal. He then brings coffee and water no utensils. So I use my straw to stir my coffee ☕. He comes back with my meal I ask for another straw for my water and utensils to eat my food. I felt strange as soon as I walked in as if he just didn't want to serve me. Then I enjoy my meal, and ask can I please get 2 pancakes to go. If you add 2 pancakes it's only $2 on the menu. Well then he says oh I don't know if I can do that, you are getting these for your friend right? you guys are broke down under the freeway right? Like excuse me do I have a twin here or something super strange. I just got done driving for over 2 hrs in the storm and still had another hour to go I needed a break and this guy is profiling me/ judging me as if I'm some one else. I knew it felt strange as soon as I walked thru that door. I'm Hispanic mixed woman with tattoos. This older white man working was giving me a hard time as if I did not deserve to eat here. It was the most uncomfortable situation ever. Now I'm done with my meal. I have a online coupon we all use our apps for deals right? So I show it to him as I'm paying then he says I don't think we can take that already annoyed I ask him to please scan. It works. Then he asks me can you please leave me a tip. I did. Unfortunately our car broke down in the parking lot but luckily for us the Denny's was here open Clean had a great atmosphere and very relaxing vibe there weren't a lot of guests so was totally chill everyone was super friendly and nice our waitress she was very nice as well she didn't go above and beyond but she did her job so that was perfect for us at this particular Moment In Time. I ordered the Grand Slam breakfast pancakes were hot fresh crispy to Perfection bacon was made the eggs were made excellent but the waitress forgot my hash browns that's okay again she was very nice about it she made no excuses and she said next time I should just double check orders so I like that because she took accountability for the mistake perfectly fine we all make mistakes and again she was nice. I'm giving it three stars because the apple crisp pie are apple pie crust as they call it is not an actual pie it's just apples with ice cream and a little caramel sauce drizzled so that was kind of a waste of money other than that the coffee was hot the breakfast was good the atmosphere was great and the people were nice. 5.24.21 @ 2pm - walked in to order one meal, and pretty much knew what I wanted. The male did not address me until I asked for a menu, and then he disappeared. There was a lady on break, who took a man's money when he and his son finished eating, but did not address me. I stood there for close to 10 minutes before I said "forget it." I'll just write a review explaining how NO ONE would even look at me even though I stood directly in front of the counter holding a menu inquiring about ordering. When I stated I would complain to cooperate, the lady (who had returned from break and immediately took care or the guy standing BEHIND me first) finally asked if she could take my order. Not cool! Not kind! Not professional! Nevertheless, I ordered because I DID NOT want McDs. Ordered country steak, scrambled eggs, hashbrowns, wheat toast. All was good for $13. Management needs to address the customer service/ line issue, but oddly enough, I was the ONLY customer standing there most of the time. I would love to know why neither of the 3 employees I saw (spoke directly to 2) refused to serve me. My guess is that if I were Mexican, the employees would have taken care of me as promptly as they did all the other customers (who appeared to be...
