If you can get the cook to follow simple instructions and directions then it's a win win... otherwise the cook(s) don't follow simple directions on a simple cheeseburger.. if you say no onions or tomatoes then WHY is their items that I don't eat.. don't like plus allergic too on my cheeseburger. If I order cheddar cheese then why is American cheese on my burger especially if I am being charged $1.29 for a slice of cheese??? The straw that broke the camels back for the past 4 visits is being served cold French Fries that have been sitting around getting hard and cold... when the cook puts cold French Fries with your Classic Hamburger all they do is re dip them in hot grease then make them hard as a rock opposed to doing it RIGHT the 1st time which would be dropping French Fries 3-4 minutes before the Hamburger is ready.. NOBODY wants old food sitting on a customer to order and NOBODY wants a pre cooked Hamburger from the night prior with burnt crust along the entire edges of the meat patty and dry as a bone. This particular cook is extremely lazy and is making customers second guess on patronizing Denny's and their $4 $6 $8 menu items.. I can go to Wendy's down the street and order a Biggie Bag meal for $5.00 and it will include a cheese burger ( no $1.29 fee for a slice of cheese), hot & fresh French Fries, 4 chicken nuggets plus a beverage with FREE refills. I tried contacting Denny's to explain about my past 5 experiences and how I am tired of my order being incorrect, cold French Fries and just a few is only placed on your plate or to go box, and the burger on one occasion was not a freshly cooked Classic Hamburger it was a day old burger that they slapped on the grill with crunchy grease edges and dry. Unacceptable! Denny's does not answer their phones plus for to go orders their is an outside company doing that... 2 days to try reaching Denny's on Western & 182 nd NOBODY answers the phone when you hit the prompt to speak with someone directly at the location. I know that Denny's can do better and whomever the cook is... is definitely running customers to other restaurants or fast food establishments. Why patronize a business who doesn't answer the phone or care about their customers I am wasting gas ( 8-10 miles round trip) and time when I can get a better bang for my buck. Not to mention I wait 16-20 minutes on my order when everyone else is eating their food when I place my orders... so I'm waiting 16-20 minutes for my order to be incorrect.. get cold French Fries or an old burger from the previous day that is tossed on a grill to be re heated with dried grease crust... I didn't complain to Benny ( server) because I had to send food back 2 days prior to my most horrible experience. Denny's do better or I won't return... 5 times in a row of poor quality of food+order being WRONG.. plus a lazy cook who obviously doesn't care about the customers is not a...
Read more3 out of 5 because when we first entered my Sister gave her name for a party of 2. The Female Employee behind the alter repeated everything we said in confirmation. Before we went back outside to wait for our name we asked about how long is the waiting period. We was told 20 minutes. Ok cool not a problem and we exited because it all kinds of COVID going around. After 20 minutes we re-entered to check for seating. After standing in line for what seemed like forever a Male Employee walked up and asked how can he help us? We relayed that we was checking to see if our name was called for seating and gave our name reservation. To our surprise our name was not written down. The Employee said he don't know and he is just a waiter. The Female Employee behind the register then came over to the alter after hearing us complaining about our reservation. She stated she is the only Hostest and all she can do is write our name down for seating. We tried to identify the Employee we gave our name to but just chucked it up as a loss and waited another 20 minutes. We was FINALLY called and seated. A waitress brought us some menus quickly. We wanted to start with nachos and loaded tater tots but no tots. We changed it to the buffalo bites. No bites. Damn. I felt like I wasn't ever going to eat. I ordered the country fried stake with egg over easy. I had to return my order because the 2 eggs on my plate was still alive. They replaced everything on my plate and after 2 days of traveling I finally got to eat some real food. It has been years since I've eaten at this Denny's but it was good. I do recommend and I will return. And on a side note: with all these different strains of COVID some the Employees had on see through mask. With working in a high traffic place the staff should have on...
Read moreThe kiddo and I stepped out for a late brunch. I wanted bone in buffalo wings from the secret menu (you're welcome) but I was informed that they did not have them and an array of other secret items. Kiddo ordered the usual kids meal pancakes with the fixings and an Oreo shake(which we asked to be given after the meal). I ended up deciding on some kind of chocolate chip pancakes with bananas with hash browns and orange juice. Food arrived relatively fast and hot. The pancakes had way too much chocolate for my liking so I ended up not finishing those. Kiddo enjoyed his meal and didn't devour mine. We sat there talking for about 5-10 mins before I asked for the shake. The worker then went towards the kitchen saying he was going to check. He came back and told me in the same voice as he did with the wings that they didn't have it. I felt like I was in a McDonald's drive thru at that moment except it was worse because we had been there almost 30 minutes at that point. I was trying very hard to hide my disgust for everything from my kid. He's 10 so he got it of course and don't want me to leave the waiter a tip. I say all that to say this stuff rolls downhill. Get your stuff together Denny's don't become a NORMal...
