I used to order from Dominoes a lot in another area, then I started ordering from the Dominoes in this area consistently and wow, the quality of the food from this particular Dominoes has been so bad, I no longer order anything from the brand if I can help it. For reference I've ordered 10-15 separate orders from this Dominoes over a period of several months, and I usually ordered within regular business hours (9-5). The quality, and portion sizes are underwhelming about 9/10 orders. Specifically: The "Stuffed Cheesy Bread" is consistently 95% bread with so little cheese that it leaves your mouth dry, and you wondering how the word "stuffed" isn't false advertising. The pan pizza which they charge $3 more for the base, and is advertised as having "cheese all the way to the edge" almost never has cheese anywhere near 1" from the edge, and unless you order "extra cheese (another $2 add on) you get so little cheese, so unevenly distributed that it looks more like a very light sprinkle on top of too much sauce and bread. They also usually put on so much (tomato) sauce that the toppings slide right off the pizza, or that the sauce itself burns your mouth if you want the cheese to be melted when you eat it (in the usual suite spot for eating pizza with melted but not scalding hot cheese). An additional issue is that they usually undercook the Pan pizzas to the extent that it's so doughy it makes you feel sick after a piece or two; If you order "well done" it usually fixes this issue, however last time I did that, the toppings turned out black and charred (salami).
I came to dominoes because originally their pan pizzas were delicious and well made consistently. I'm taking my business somewhere elsewhere. Digiorno pizzas from the super market taste better (and are cheaper) than these pizzas.
This dominoes has done a consistently good job at the extra instructions part of the orders: the square cut instead of regular is consistent, and they consistently cook it well done if you ask for that as well. Unfortunately, this doesn't matter if the pizza comes out burnt with the wrong portions. I hope they learn...
Read moreThe manager Oscar is the absolute WORST manager I’ve ever experienced in my lifetime and Domino’s corporate office hasn’t done anything about him. Back in August, because of covid, I did a drive by birthday for my 9 year old son. Ordered TWENTY FIVE pizzas, and I called early in the day because I was told to call early so they could prepare for delivery. I did just that and was assured they’d be here on time. They weren’t. When I called to complain, Oscar not only was rude right off the bat as if I had done something wrong to him, but he straight out said “Don’t worry, if you’re not happy I’ll cancel your order” and then hung up on me. Never did I ask to cancel my order because I had told everyone I had their dinner covered with en entire pizza per household. I called back and he hung up on me numerous times and eventually the pizzas showed up, but jot without the chaos and stress that man caused. Fast forward today, I order pizza and it’s an hour and a half later for one large pizza and some bread. I call to ask why the app asked if I was enjoying my order when it hadn’t even arrived yet. SAME MANAGER, rude AF! Tells me he isn’t gonna rush his driver in the rain to deliver. That wasn’t my question, but the man wouldn’t let me speak. He spoke over me EVERY time I opened my mouth. He REFUSED more than once to give me HIS managers phone number or the number to whoever runs that domino’s. He hung up on me AGAIN because I said he was unprofessional and rude. I will be spending my morning tomorrow finding a way to ensure this man is disciplined as I recorded the last conversation with him. I HATE THIS DOMINOS and if it wasn’t because my kids dislike other pizza places in San Pedro, I wouldn’t go back. Worst experiences ever and I can’t believe Domino’s has someone like that in...
Read moreThis is probably my 3rd review, because I love Dominos that much. I eat healthy and minimally all week, but once the weekend comes, or on the odd cold night when my girI and I are just too tired from work or don't have time to cook, we can look each other in the eyes and think the same thing without saying a word, "Dominos". In the past I've praised Dominos for it's consistency in its food, which for me is a rare thing these days, from fast food to restaurants. I've mentioned their reliable service, both in the kitchen and on the road, and their continued polite and friendly demeanor when delivering my pizza. These are just some of the qualities that I just don't see anywhere else as much as I used to when I was younger. To me personally, Dominos should be a staple of this neighborhood. They're as dependable as it gets, have sensible coupons, and always provide reliable service, and knowing that I'll get exactly what I order - these are just a few things that make Dominos the only food I order for delivery, and I think the best way to show appreciation for an underrated and taken-for-granted establishment is tipping. I always try to tip at least 25% of my order, not just for all the compliments I mentioned above, but because it directly appreciates cooks, the drivers and their ability to arrive at my doorstep safely, and the fact that they're buying gas at outrageous California prices. I'll always support my local Dominos, and I feel grateful for everyone that makes delivering delicious pizza possible. Yes, I Love My Dominos, and I hope they continue to do business for as long as I live. Call me crazy, but i know a good thing when I see it. So Dominos, if you're reading this, thank you for making Dominos nights a special night in my household....
