Omelette and Waffle is a great place to go for breakfast. There are 100 different types of omelettes on the menu, plus other breakfast and lunch items. There is free street parking out front. The restaurant looks like a throwback to the 50s. There is counter seating, tables and chairs, and booths. The place was crowded and busy, but we were seated at a booth right away. The waitresses were outgoing and friendly. We ordered the Grilled Tri-tip Melt with onion rings and the Grilled Roast Beef with French fries. The onion rings are pulverized onion shaped into a ring. They had a weird texture to them since they were pulverized, and felt gummy and undercooked. They were not good at all and I don’t recommend them. The fries are shoestring fries so they get cold quickly. The sandwiches were good. The Grilled Tri-tip sandwich was toasted with chewy bits of tri-tip and melted cheese inside. The sourdough bread was good. The Grilled Roast Beef has a green chile inside. There is a $1.00 charge if you use a credit card to pay your bill. There are signs posted throughout the restaurant so you don’t forget. The waitress doesn’t pick up the bill from your table. You have to take the bill up front to the cashier to pay it. While you are up at the front you can peruse through the assorted logo merchandise they have for sale. It’s all very cute and retro themed. Next time I’ll try an omelette and a waffle.

UPDATE!!! Oh Okay My bad then I get it, and you know what no worries on the order of orders, I actually just got a chance to eat my Avocado, Beacon, Jack Cheese, and Sourcream Omlette and it was delicious. I ussually do feel incline to tip, guess I was too hangry today, but I appreciate your response so it's all good, everyone has their ...days!! An odd experience here tooday! I had to stand and wait for the server to come take my order and even though I was waiting a good while before she came to the counter, when she did the phone rang, so she took a phone order before me instead of putting the order on hold and takig my order first. Another server gave me my order and he left me under the impression that I had to tip him in order to receive napkins and eating utensils. Weird!

Classic little diner in California. Our Lyft driver recommended this place for breakfast while we were killing time before boarding our cruise ship. It’s a short drive from the harbor. Basic diner food, but lots of it it, lots of choices. More omelets to choose from then I could count. I had the chilaquiles since we were in California. The carne asada was ok, nothing to write home about. Probably try chicken if I had had it again. Other than that the sauce was very good. Wife and kids were happy too, can’t remember what they had at the moment. Diner food is generally the same no matter where you eat. This place had double or triple the menu of most diners. The staff was friendly and the building was classic Americana diner type. It’s worth a look if you are in the area.

Food was just alright. Cheaper to find a Dennys or IHOP and you'll be happier with the taste and quality. It wasn't horrible, it just wasn't good.

Edited to address owners response below..

You are correct, taste is up to the individual. As for price, not sure who or where you're comparing your menu to. I travel a lot as my reviews will show so im very familiar with costs. I was there Thursday (9/15/22) morning at 7 am when you opened. I ordered the chicken fried steak and eggs option from your menu and a waffle on the side. It was trash. The waffle was so rubbery I had to use the steak knife to cut it. The steak was freezer burned or old. So much so that the breading and gravy tasted like acidic flour. I will say, the eggs were at least decent. Even the hot water for tea was barely warm enough to brew. I try not to bash places because my experience may be different from others but in addition to the food being trash, the place was nasty. Table and menu was sticky, waitress was touching money and condiments then grabbing food without washing hands or using gloves. The food was served cold. Service was lousy. Extra gravy that was requested came after the meal was finished. To finish this off, you had the front doors propped open while landscapers were using leaf blowers on the sidewalk out front, blowing dust in to the restaurant. I'm sure you're saying why didn't I say anything? I had a cruise to catch at the port. I didn't have time to educate your staff on what should be restaurant basics. And had your waitress actually stopped by the table to check on us after the food arrived, this would have been conveyed to her. Instead, the only 2 times we saw her after the food came was to deliver the check and to collect the money. Maybe next time, be more open to constructive criticism instead of immediately attacking my "tastes". Now I wish I took photos to support...

I was scrolling to the left to look for more STARS! Continue to find more "Mom's &Pop's eateries, We went to San Pedro to the Port O call village but the place is destroyed, they are excavating, no parking and for the only restaurant w seafood it was a line like going to a Lakers game! We left and drove around until we spot this place and decided to give it a try! The place is cozy very busy and it was 11:45am. We order the breakfast quesadilla w grilled steak! Eggs Benedict, and kids hamburgers, wow! Big burgers! My son gave a bite to my kuesadilia! He ended up eating half of mine! They devoured the benedicts and we all share the waffle! Very crispy made to order! Best coffee ever! I ask to try the country gravy, it was superb! Don't know if all the clientele were local but all except one couple, very friendly! The old way service, even though the staff was very young! The Owner pass around pouring coffee to all the tables! I believe she train her staff very well! They all doing something, very productive! Wait time was about 13min. They have the patio if you want to be seated outside! What else can I say about The Omelet & Waffle? We love it. One couple asks about my dish and he orders one too. Since is a kind of residential area, parking is hard to find but the walk makes up for it! You also have a view of the great cooks preparing your meals! Kudos to the entire...
