Used to love this place. A rare spot that hit all the bonus points for us. Walking distance, ok beer, food truck outside, most importantly (and rare), welcoming to kids. They even had a game shelf full of board games to play, with plenty of kids games. Perfect combo!
Course, the pandemic changed all that.
But they're fully open again, and we stopped by, and ordered beer and food. To my delight, I noticed near the bathroom a chest full of kids games! I found a good one and handed it to my baby mama, and went in the bathroom.
Turns out, the chest was not games for customer use, but a toy drive. Neither of us noticed the toy drive sign, but one aggro employee sure noticed her with the game.
Came right at her aggressively, repeatedly yelling at her as though she was a thief. When she apologized and sheepishly tried to explain that she thought it was a game shelf for customer use, he simply grabbed the game off the table and walked away. My daughter was confused and freaked out, and I was also confused when I came back from the bathroom and mama was in tears and in shock.
Might seem like not such a huge deal, but believe it or not, some women don't have a great time when being aggressively accosted by a man, and talked down to like a low-life.
The mistake was ours, but the response was wildly disproportionate, and unnecessary. We finished our drinks as quickly as possible and got outta there.
Let me be clear- I'm not the kind of customer that feels entitled to special treatment, nor am I ever going out of my way looking for issues to complain about- quite the opposite. But when I see the person across from me in tears over getting treated like a criminal by the business I'm patronizing, I gotta say something.

I genuinely hope this place gets no business or they have some sort of training for the people who were there the night I was there. There are no consequences for the people behind the bar. They will do what they want. We came in around 915 and they came around for last call close to 10 and at 1015 they basically said get out of here? This is a brewery. If you’re going to make a last call, you need to allow 30 mins to an hour before you FORCE people out. I have never encountered such rude behaviors from people. It was so shocking. And they said they did last call at 930 which was a lie. Nothing like spending $40 and having to chug your...
Read moreFrogtown offers delicious beer. I enjoyed all of them on my flight. I was surprised by the Frog Claw and the Painkiller. I'm an IPA lover and I'm not too fond of fruity or sweet beer. I think these beers can be hard to pull off but Frogtown succeeded. If there was any sweetness, it was very subtle. Frogtown is kid friendly and they have a lunch truck. The food was my least favorite thing and I did not enjoy their nachos. However, the beer is so good that I will not let the food prevent me from returning. I highly recommend this brewery to beer aficionados. I also recommend it to folks that are not too enthusiastic about beer but are willing to give it a try. Oh, and the service...
