I really would want to like this place but it isn’t how it worked. I wouldn’t even review it afteraall but the rude customer service forced me to do so. An acquaintance recommended this place giving them thumbs up, and I thought that was it, this should be a really good place. And I took my coworker there for a lunch. Honestly, little I knew that this was the worst Armenian barbecue I have ever tried in my entire life. The extra star I am giving is for how nice the daughter of the person running this place was with customers. But that didn’t make the overall experience nicer. The problem was, initially I ordered extra to take out because I thought it would be at least a decent place, however, after being served pathetic kebobs so minuscule that it was toddler’s size, not mentioning the wrong texture of kebobs (how could you even fail in that) made apparently from pre-seasoned (bland and wrong taste) ground kebob meat that they sell in any Armenian grocery store, instead of making their own, and beef ribs that were basically burnt long bones with dry as leather burnt meat covering the bones with little triangles of totally raw meat at the tip, I decided to cancel my order. When I asked to cancel, the response from the woman running the place was, “just wait your order is almost ready”. I told her again and she insisted to know the reason, so I had to honestly tell her that the food wasn’t that good. But I was expecting adequate reaction from them, wouldn’t they know they were serving ridiculous portions, ribs burnt outside and totally raw inside with minimal amount of meat on them? But she chose to take it super personal, get offended and say smth like “oh yeah, really it was so bad that you had to tell that?”, “only Armenians can do that”. And she refused to refund for cancelled order because “she couldn’t cancel because I paid by a credit card”. I was stunned of that impudence. It should be me feeling lied and turned down, wasted my money and time for extremely low quality barely edible food. That was a day when I took a coworker to lunch and wanted to introduce to Armenian cuisine. Can’t tell how embarrassed I was feeling afterwards. Eventually the daughter stepped in and refunded some cash that didn’t fully even cover for the cancelled amount, if anything, it covered the tip plus extra $12 but not for the full cancelled food amount. And the attitude was very rude and disrespectful after I demanded the refund, as if I was some unworthy person to look down on. Knowing that other places replace the order, remake or totally refund if you don’t like their food, that was a very odd experience. I mean, just looking at how they made the bbq it was obvious they were doing it all wrong. Didn’t they know that? Obviously nobody cared. Even my coworker noticed that they were making bbc on high flames, something that you don’t have to be a cook to know. That was the reason of short ribs being raw meat burnt outside. My bad that I didn’t read the bad reviews before deciding to go. They are all telling similar stories about their experiences. I guess this place is not gonna last long with that kind of know it all attitude and disrespect to customers. Not sure where the positive reviews come or what kind of food were those people served. I know good Armenian bbc places and they all are delish compared to this place. I wonder if they serve better food to customers they think will frequent them or what? Absolutely disastrous place. Wouldn’t recommend to anyone.

I ' ve been there twice. First time they served me pork ribs which was reheated and not made fresh. Second time I tried shawarma. This is nothing like authentic russian/armenian shawarma. Here ingredients are - chicken with skin on it (gross), cilantro , garlic sauce and fresh white onion. WHAT? thats it? Lavash was soft and wasnt grilled which they should do. Meat was tender and juicy but wasnt made like it should on a special shawarma stand but rather on a grill. I had to throw the other half of shawarma in the trash cause I didn't enjoy it that much. And I paid for it $17. Owners are friendly yes but it doesn't make their food any better. The place itself looks like they just moved in - no music playing, nothing is going on on TV. The place is just not cozy at all. Will never come back again. Hopefully the owners would make some changes otherwise they will be out of the business soon.

We wandered into this amazing restaurant literally by accident. We were waiting for someone who was late for our appointment so we decided to walk down the block and look for a place to sit and and eat. What a fortunate accident! Armand and Anoush greeted us with smiles and warmth! Armand gave us a taste of the chicken he was grilling in the parking lot and we were hooked! Absolutely delicious! Anoush was so kind and served us inside the restaurant. We ordered ribs and they were scrumptious. I am so glad that we stopped in and I can tell you we are definitely going back!

Review for #GariksBBQ

⭐☆☆☆☆

I had the misfortune of dining at #GariksBBQ recently, and it was a nightmare from start to finish. The food was absolutely gross—undercooked meat, soggy sides, and an overall lack of flavor. To make matters worse, the hygiene standards were appalling.

What really put me off, though, was the owner’s behavior. It turns out the owner’s partner is an OnlyFans model, and the whole establishment seems to be run by their kid, who flaunts their money all over the internet. It’s an absolute trashy operation with no respect for customers. Save your money and your stomach—avoid #GariksBBQ...
