Read moreI would like to start off with saying customer service was at 100 for me. No matter how rude someone was or how busy it got the ladies was sooooo nice and calm and super sweet. And it actually felt like a granny and auntie in the kitchen loving what they do so I should’ve known the food was going to be AMAZING. I stopped by at lunch time I would have been in and out but I ordered a pork chop lunch with a baked chicken lunch and the pork chop had to be cooked fresh so it was about a 12 minute wait for that which was great because I only want a freshly cooked pork chop when I go to any restaurant. So with the pork chop meal I had Mac and cheese and yams. With the amazingly season perfectly cooked juicy baked chicken I had greens and rice and gravy. With cornbread muffins and free koolAid (where they do that at) I have ate at every soul food place in LA, Inglewood, Compton, Long Beach and so on and soooo onnnn and I must say so far for what I had today they are my new spot I will go to weekly. I only didn’t like 1 thing really and that was the small cups lol 🥺 the koolAid so perfectly good we need more. I have to try the oxtails that is my favorite soul food meat and if those are amazing like the chicken then that seals the deal. It took me so long to try because of the bad reviews and I’m so mad at myself for listening because I was missing out. I pray the...
Read moreStopped by yesterday, based off prior Instagram reviews and I had been wanting to try this place. I work close to the location and was driving by and decided to stop. Got me and my mom a lunch plate. I was so disappointed in the meat we chose. My mom got the turkey wings with two sides and I got the bbq pig feet. LA Try Guy did a review on the pig feet, so I said, “why not?” His looked so tender when he bit into it. On the other hand, mine weren’t so tender. In fact, they were very tough to pull from the bone. I had such a hard time eating them, that my mom suggested I put them in the oven when I get home. I didn’t want to do that, I’m on lunch now and I have food at home. She had the turkey wings and when I say they were so salty. I don’t know if it was just this day that the meats weren’t too appeasing to the appetite, but it wasn’t to ours. Now don’t get me wrong. The flavor on my pigs feet were good and her turkey wings were cooked well, but mine needed to be cooked a little longer and hers, less seasoned. Now the sides (mac n cheese, yams and cabbage) were delicious. Oh, and my kool aid. I’m not saying I won’t be back. I’m going to give it another try one day and hope that my meat (pig feet) are tender next time. This time, not so pleased with...
