Little Ocha of the Valley — Restaurant in Los Angeles

Came here on the clock with two coworkers after just having driven down from the Bay Area. My coworkers wanted food from a restaurant nearby but they didn't have seating, and I wanted asian food. We were exhausted and I fully admit a bit rude in restaurant terms because I came, grabbed a table, and ordered my food, but then my coworkers joined a few minutes later with their takeout food from the other next door restaurant and we all ate together. The restaurant employees looked at us a bit weird but to their credit they were extremely gracious and considerate and didn't make a fuss, and oh my god my food was AMAZING. Extremely flavorful, way beyond expectations (and I'm used to good food having grown up in LA/SF)! I ordered Horchata with my meal solely because I was amused it was on the menu at an Asian place, but I swear to god it was the best horchata I've ever had. I don't know what they did differently but it was extra creamy and the flavor was very complex and well balanced. Clearly they have some amazing cooks, and I am grateful that they were kind enough to let a few weary travelers crash their table for an hour before getting back on the road. Highly recommended.

Edit: I forgot that when they brought me my check, they even brought three sets of fortune cookies and orange slices for my coworkers to enjoy as well, even thought they hadn't ordered anything....

Did an order for deliver and I live down the street from this place. It says free delivery within one mile. Ordered chow mein glass noodles hot and sour soup and thai tea and the total came out to $40 I had the menu in hand and did the math and it was supposed to be about $30. I even added a dollar to each item and it still didn't add up to $40 after tax. I've had take out so decided to order again but I regret even getting delivery or not mentioning the high amount i was being charged. The lady on the phone didn't even give me my total or anything she just said ok bye and hung up before I could even ask I had to call back and ask. I have came here for so many years and today I was discriminated by I believe is one of the managers because I didn’t order the name of a plate correctly and verbally sounded it out infront of the whole restaurant to me . I told him sorry I can’t pronounce these names correctly but I said the thick noodles explaining what I wanted and the waiter got not once but 3 times my order wrong or forgot to give me my drinks or order of white rice I asked for . I’m very disappointed as I always come here and have never ever experienced humiliation infront of the whole restaurant for not pronouncing something correctly as it’s not in my language .
