This was my first time coming here and I'm blown away by there customer service!! The food was delicious!! My mom ordered some popusas revueItas and I ordered vegan popusas with beans and vegan cheese and a hot chocolate with soy milk. I original accidentally ordered popusas revueltas with vegan cheese and beans thinking that was the name of the popusas that have vegan cheese and beans but the kind cashier informed me that those popusas had chicharon in them so it wasn't vegan. Even though it was my mistake for ordering them in the first place, the cashier was super kind and generous in making me another order of the correct vegan popusas without charging me. You can tell this business and their workers truly cares about customer service and satisfaction! Also their hot chocolate is heavenly!! I've never tasted hot chocolate that good in my life! It was so good I had to order another one for my mom and due to the previous mishap of me ordering the wrong popusas which again was completely my fault, the cashier's made me a second hot chocolate without charge. I can't stress enough how understanding and caring these restaurant workers are! Will definitely be coming more often...
Read moreI've been coming here for over a decade easy. It has definitely changed in atmosphere, service, and to some extent, the target audience.
What hasn't changed is the quality and size of their pupusas. Hands down my favorite pupusas spot. I can't and won't speak to the other entrees / menu items. Don't want them, don't need them. Give me that large, filled to the brim with delicious ingredients pupusa. No pockets of masa here. Expertly crafted. Order a revuelta and chicharron. I barely finished one before I was too full.
They bring back find memories of Los molcajetes on pico and hope, adjacent to the Morrison hotel. Gone but not forgotten.
On the other hand, the atmosphere is lacking. This used to be and feel like a family sit down place. Since and after the pandemic, it has the set up of a take out joint. Minimal and very informal.
The salsa and sides are light in quantity, plastic utensils, paper plates, plastic tray cafeteria style. No servers.
Prices are comparable to other brick and mortar spots but they haven't skimped on the pupusa like other places have.
Come here to get a big and tasty pupusas. Don't stay for...
Read moreToday for lunch ,I had the taste for for those delicious Los Molcajetes pupusas ( by the way at this location the best in town) But the music was so laud and out of tune with an El Salvadorean pupuseria . I requested to please lower the volume because I could not listen to my friends conversation. The kind waitress address the owner with my request to what he replied to me that he would not lower the volume because the music was for every costumer not just for me. I totally agree to his remark , any way this is his business and he can decide how to handle it just a word of advice : A business can only continue have success when patrons feel welcome, lunch time is moment when working people want to have a relaxing meal there is a difference between weekend crow and I am going to get my lunch break crow. I know my opinion is of little importance for this business owner but I think I had to let it go out of my system because today was my last time there and, I walked out of that place with out my lunch GOOD BY LOS...
