Went in with no expectations just craving seafood.we started with some chips and tomato soup the quantities where pretty decent most places are a bit stingy on sauces and tostadas, and this place wasn't,they also had some Pico de Gallo tomatoes type of dip but I was super blownaway with how hot it was and I'm a big spicy food lover but this blew me away and perhaps even burned a few taste buds away too! It's a yummy dip just cut down a bit on whatever Chilli you use habanero or Serrano.then we ordered two lobsters almojo de ajothat had shrimp on top the blew me away! I might go back just for the shrimp, but the lobster was wayyy over priced although the presentation was great the lobster was slightly hard to chew and felt under cooked, and not very much flavor, even sizzlers lobster is better for half of the price we paid.so I was slightly disappointed because if imma spend 150 plus on a dish might as well go to a high end restaurant. Or get my lobster craving needs met at sizzlers, or maybe it was an off day for the cook.who knows 🤔 but imma give this place a second chance because their shrimp was pretty darn good with the sauces...
Read moreNow that the weather is hot, I've been so obsessed with ceviche. I've had ceviche 4 times this week alone. I saw some great reviews on Mariscos Los Arcos and decided to give them a try.
I ordered the tostada mixta and tostada de pescado. The pescado is just white fish. You actually get quite a bit of fish but the flavor wasn't that great. The mixta which has shrimp, octopus, and scallop tasted better. My only complaint is that the mixta has way too much onions, tomatoes, and avocado in the mixture. I would rather they charge more but give me more seafood instead.
When I called, the person on the phone only speaks Spanish so I had to place my order in Spanish. Once I get there though, some of the servers speak English.
I wasn't impressed with this restaurant. I'll most likely to go Puerto Angel or Sirenitas next time instead for Mexican ceviche...
Read moreI have lived close to this restaurant for over 12 years and never went inside. I went and was satisfied with the food and pleasant customer service. The owner was kind and spoke to all of the patrons. The food was delicious. The filete a la Mexicano was nice and tender. It was not crunchy, like I thought it was gonna be to cut. It was smooth like butter. The only thing that kept the service from 5 stars was that we did wait a bit to get our check and a container. It's not a large restaurant, but it is not necessary as that removes the element of connection. The tables were slightly tall for the seats, or it may have been the seats that did not compliment the tables. I would still come back to try the other items...
