Omgaaaaa sooooooo fuggin goooood❣️😋😬 Friend Gian recommended this spot, and other friend Alyssa was able to join me for spontaneous brunch! The wait (25-30min ish) was reasonable considering peak brunchtime (around 11am on a Sunday) AND hella/definitely/totally WORTH IT We sat inside which was ideal when outside feels like an oven. Shout out/kudos and many thanks to our waiter Gustavo for an amazing and very positive, enjoyable first time at Garcia Bros. He was very attentive, friendly, accommodating. He was quick and accurate with taking our food and drink orders as well as checking up on us and our experience throughout our visit. Other staff also periodically asked if we’re still doing alright. I always greatly appreciate staff ensuring that everything’s alright, going good, great, all of that! Great service and friendly staff is always a must but also A plus!😌😏😉 But omgaaaa the food is mmmm oh so delicious and yummy-the kind that makes me mad bc it’s just sooo good.. MUST come back Also I don’t typically drink coffee, but Alyssa mentioned that cafe de olla is yummy and has a natural sweetness; so we both got it and enjoyed the refills and topoffs (she got hot and me iced). We ordered the chilaquiles and Fantastic Waffle (we gotta come back when the new, extended menu with matcha waffles and more are added in a couple/few weeks per Gustavo’s intel) to split and share each. We added chicken on the side to our chilaquiles for protein, and even the grilled chicken was tasty and juicy on its own! I love chilaquiles, and this was the best I’ve had! So tasty with a kick, I had a brief thought that I didn’t even care for the waffle anymore; but that mistaken thought disappeared as soon as I had my first bite of it! Then I toggled with figuring which of the two I enjoyed more-I think the chilaquiles win, but the waffle: batter plus all components combined including what seems like house-made whipped cream was more than satisfying even without any syrup! Ok this review is more extensive than intended but well-deserved yay yummy food and friendly, kind people positively affect my mood and make me happy So thank you Gustavo and Garcia Bros...
Read moreMy family and I have been regular customers of Garcia Bros Café for quite some time. My kids love the chicken and waffles and the crepes, and my son can’t get enough of the bacon burger. My husband and I enjoy trying new dishes every weekend . it’s been one of our go-to spots, and I often recommend it to my clients during weekdays who ask for a good local place to eat.
However, I want to share some honest feedback based on recent experiences. While the food is consistently good, the takeout service could use improvement. A few times, our orders have been incorrect, and although I’ve called to report it, it’s been frustrating, especially since we don’t live nearby anymore.
In my most recent order, I was charged extra for side substitutions, which I don’t mind paying for when it’s done correctly. Unfortunately, not only were the sides wrong again, but I was also charged for ranch dressing that I never received and the one small container I did get was only ine half full for $1 each bur was charge$4 dollars since i ask for four because the wrap comes with no dressing in the side. I understand mistakes happen, but when you’re paying extra, you expect accuracy and consistency.
I think it would help if the owners reviewed takeout procedures and provided staff training to make sure customers get what they paid for especially since many of us support the restaurant regularly and spread the word. I called to address the issue, but no one answered (I believe they close at 2 p.m., and I called just a few minutes before).
Overall, the food is great and worth trying, but if you’re ordering takeout, I’d recommend double-checking your order before leaving. I hope management takes this as constructive feedback, not as a complaint, but as a customer who truly wants to see a local...
Read moreWe visited the establishment on a Sunday with a group of seven individuals. The seating system operates on a first-come, first-served basis, and we were fortunate to arrive before the peak dining period. Consequently, we were seated within a ten-minute timeframe. Although the indoor space is relatively compact, there is also an outdoor seating area available.
Our beverage orders were promptly taken and delivered to our table swiftly. My wife particularly enjoyed the cafe de olla, which exhibited a delightful sweetness without requiring any additional condiments. The food preparation took a bit longer due to the size of our group, but the wait was certainly worthwhile.
I personally opted for the avocado toast, which I found to be satisfactory. However, I believe it could benefit from the addition of an acidic or spicy element to counteract the richness of the avocado. The accompanying arugula salad provided a welcome acidic balance.
My son chose the steak and eggs, and while the steak was cooked to his liking, it could have used a bit more seasoning.
My brother decided to order two plates: the eggs florentine and the chorizo scramble. Both dishes were well-received and demonstrated excellent flavors.
My wife and sister opted for the pancakes, one matcha and the other taro. Although I am not particularly fond of sweet dishes, I must admit that both pancakes were exceptionally delicious, striking the perfect balance of sweetness. The presentation of the pancakes was also aesthetically pleasing.
In conclusion, I recommend this establishment as a worthwhile...
