Signature Banquet — Attraction in Los Angeles

Had my daughters quinceañera here l am extremely disappointed. ONLY reason I decided with this place is bc my daughter loved it but I wasn't all for it since the owner HENDRIX was a bit condescending from the start. Automatically said no to a snack vendor we wanted. She still insisted that we go with this place. I came in a couple times to look at the space, get the table measurements and really just brainstorm my ideas. He starts questioning why I want linens. Mind you, his tables are scratched and beat up. THEY ABSOLUTELY needed linens. Then starts questioning why I want a "dessert cart" when he has a table he can give me. Day before he saw I had rentals(pink water goblets and chargers) "well why do you want these" start saying it's too much work for him and his staff. Nowhere on the contract does it state I am not allowed rentals. What VENUE gives you a hard time about rentals????? Baffled. Day of event, watching over me like a damn HAWK, I understand running a business and making sure everything Runs smoothly but I felt UNCOMFORTABLE how much he kept just being there every time I turned around. Also, he states your booking will come with security. I did not get "security". I got some random guy that probably he hired. No badge, no nothing. Tells me "I'm here too and Robert. We're enough security "Contract" also states event ends at 12:30am, well they ended my event at 12am. I paid my dj an extra 30 min for nothing. As well as paying for extra linens for extra tables he left when I STRESSED about not needing them. ROBERT the manager and the staff were the only decent/hard working people. I am honestly shocked that this guy is still in business. Don't do it. Even if u have to pay more money elsewhere, trust me. It's worth not dealing with Hendrix. He is a piece of work. Read his responses to every bad review. THIS PLACE IS A JOKE.

Since I can’t reply to your response. I’ll edit this one. YOU’RE A LIAR! I NEVER ONCE MADE YOUR STAFF CLEAR THE TABLES. If anything I helped set them up! You never once Told me I was required to bring in linens in the day before & we weren’t late the day of. You said bring them in 11-12pm. He was there by 12pm. You should be ashamed...

We were invited to a sweet 16th last week to this venue, I can't explain how beautiful and organized was, the step that we walk in our jwa was dropped!! The lobby was white with beautiful hight ceiling chandelier hanging from the center with led lights matching the color of the event team, The ballroom floor was covered with white tiles clean and nice, the tables were modern with glass top and white base that I never seen at any other venue!! The floor was glossy white large and clean, I got what I was expected on the food too, all the staff were expert and nice, delivering the soft drinks, ice, and keep refilling and the appetizers until end of the night, the food came around 9:00pm with full of chicken beaf and rice, we were almost full around 10:00 pm an other dish came with two types of fish. salmon, bass and rosted potato, fresh nice and delicious. Little shorter after that they served the cake with tea and coffee. Honestly I can't say anything wrong or lack of a service...

The hard assets of venue are beautifully decorated. The flooring is spectacular, the bathrooms are decent. Centerpieces are on point, but I’m not sure if that’s selected by the banquet hall of the people hosting the party.

What needs help are some of the other items like the stage, the service, and the food.

Ya need to hire real cooks if you’re going to be charging for parties in the 5 figures. I had some pasta that was so hard it legitimately scratched the top of my mouth and my cheeks. It was dry and hard. Even a food runner at a small restaurant down the block would be able to identify there is something wrong with the food before serving it.

The stage has the build quality of a swapmeet auction stage. None of the corners align. You can see tape marks on random spots, it hasn’t been cleaned since the place was opened.
