Mission Burrito — Restaurant in Los Angeles

Honestly I love their food and have been a customer for over 20 years, so this review has nothing to do with that.

12 days ago I ordered pick up (2 chicken tacos combo) and when I arrived home and took a bite, I found out they were beef. I don't eat beef. I called about explained this and they told me to come back, but I live too far (picked it up on the way home from work), so I asked if I could get a credit for the next time. She said yes and took down my name but said that they have a policy that you have to come back in two weeks. That's ridiculous, and I thought about saying so, but it's not this worker's fault the company has this (possibly illegal but definitely unethical) policy.

So yeah, 12 days later (which is less than two weeks), I call back and tell the woman who answered about what happened, she puts me on hold and then comes back to say it must be past 2 weeks because there's no record of it. I tell her it's been 12 days. She said no, it probably wasn't. I said it was and I have the record of the last time I called on my phone. She said no, she can't do anything because it's been more than 2 weeks.

Listen, I don't know if she was the manager or a worker or whoever. It's not her policy. I get that. So my issue is with the company Jaramillo Enterprises (I actually know this because my first job ever was as Sierra's when I was a teen), who apparently think it's okay to have a policy that essentially steals money from their customers. I couldn't eat those tacos that night. There was no one to give them to because no one in my house eats beef. They went in the trash and I ate beans and rice for dinner.

To put a time limit on when you make it right with a customer is not okay. It's hard out here for most people, and to just expect that their hard earned money expires in 2 weeks when it was the restaurant's fault is money grubbing...

👎👎👎 I'm here at Mission Burrito in West Hills right now, 1st time. Pretty disappointing! I got the giant burrito which is fairly priced at $9.50.. but by the time I asked for extra sauce (and then more because they didn't give me enough in the 1st place!) I was out $13 bucks. That was just the beginning. The burrito arrived luke warm. LuKe warm! When I asked them to heat it up it took them 5 minutes, and it still arrived luke warm (although now the plate was untouchably hot). Plus the burrito was unbeLievably bland.. as in no flavor - Zero. At a Mexican joint! With the name Mission Burrito!! THEN I found cut green string beans. IN my burrito. WtF??!! So let's review.. they overcharged and nickel & dimed me $2 for sauce that should be complimentary (it is at Campos.. just sayin'). The burrito was luke warm .. so bland it tasted like millet lol .. with freaking cut green string beans iN the burrito. That'd be 4 stars off folks, but they had a nice flat screen TV and very clean bathroom facilities, so I'll credit them back one star for that. I reaLLy don't get all these other rave reviews.🤨 Oh I see.. there are three Mission Burrito restaurants.. this one in West Hills (and two others, in Chatsworth and Simi).. they're in the Land of Bland!😉😆🤣 You're far better off getting an epic burrito at Del Taco aNywhere and saving yourself $6-7 bucks (or just get two). Arguably the worst Mexican food I’ve ever had…we came in tonight and got quesabirria tacos, the California burrito, crispy chicken tacos, rice & beans, and al pastor tacos. Literally the only somewhat decent thing was the birria, and even that wasn’t anything to write home about. The steak burrito tasted completely flavorless and both the burrito and al pastor tacos turned to mush in your mouth. They was honestly gross. The crispy chicken tacos were worse than frozen tacos at the grocery store, and the rice & beans tasted like they were microwaved. And the food was so expensive for no reason! Nearly $10 for 2 birria tacos?? They should be $3 each max! All in all super disappointing and I would NOT recommend this place to anyone - we will not...
