THIS COMMENT IS AIMED TOWARDS ONE OF THE NEGATIVE COMMENTS MADE ABOUT THIS ESTABLISHMENT BY AN UNREASONABLE CLIENT/ CUSTOMER
I do not normally do this unless I feel a wrong has to be done right. I happen to be a regular customer at orchid grill and kebab. On this particular day where Ivan Torres came in with his family (his wife and two kids), from the moment they walked in, it was obvious that he just had an attitude. At Orchid grill and kabob food is served a la carte not buffet style therefore the staff asked the customer what side orders they might want with their food but unfortunately Ivan Torres who has not visited this establishment in 7 years, was under the impression that they still have lunch buffet. So the young lady who was helping out the family with their lunch items, politely asked the Taurus family if they wanted salad or hummus or yogurt with their dish at which point Ivan Torres started raising his voice and was nasty towards the employee who was trying to be accommodating because it is their job to ask what the customer wants for side orders. One of the main reasons for doing this is that the customer might be allergic to tomatoes or yogurt or hummus so they have to ask but unfortunately this socially uneducated customer started raising his voice even more and even though the food was made for them on four different plates, they threatened to leave The Establishment and they did do so. Therefore wasting six skewers of kabob and rice which could not be reused. It is sad to see that somebody with an attitude such as Ivan Torres who needs to educate himself socially for public places to go to, are allowed to be verbally abusive towards hard-working staff of any establishment not just this place. This sad thing about this whole situation is that Ivan Taurus's kids were witness to this and I hope they do not turn out to be like him and his wife when it comes to interacting in social places such as...
Read moreFood was actually decent. I was in between a 3.5-4 Stars for the joint just because I ABSOLUTELY HATE restaurants that give you cheap plastic utensils. You know damn well that you can't stick the fork into that piece of meat and you would never eat with that yourself so why would you give that to your customers?! I have a pet peeve about this. Spend the extra few bucks and get proper utensils! Raise your food prices by 10 cents if you have to to cover costs.
I also didn't like the Shirazi salad. I'm not sure if it was old or just made with bad ingredients. I didn't like it at all. The food was pretty spot on and delicious. The fast service with prepared food was great for a lunch stop and the workers were friendly.
Hey OWNER - GET PROPER UTENSILS!!! THANK YOU. SINCERELY, EVERY DINER IN THE WORLD If I come back here and I'm given the same utensil, subtracting a star 🌟 lol....
Read moreThis place was my favorite in the valley until recently. Everything was going fine until we were about to ask for a to-go box. We were then greeted by a cockroach crawling on the table like, "Are you gonna eat that?". I should have asked for a refund but I was in shock, and I felt bad because another customer also saw it and decided to leave without ordering anything. Hopefully, they take care of that problem before it gets worse, if it's not already too late. The waitress didn't seem surprised when I informed her, so hopefully that's not a sign that they're already aware. I have to leave this review to let others know, which is nicer than calling the health department, like I would have done if I didn't previously...
