Paseo San Miguel — Restaurant in Los Angeles

I love Salvadoran food any given day. However, this is only the second time I’ve eaten at this store and unfortunately it’s not better than the first time and I won’t be returning .

I had literally two drinks and a breakfast plate and spent almost $30. I know the economy is bad, but we’re supposed to be the fourth largest economy in the world according to the governor. The food simply tasted like it was canned food and paid probably twice as much from what I would’ve spent at an IHOP or Norms.

About the food, the beans were salty. The rice was old and the only good item on that plate was the fact that the avocado was fresh. The girls serving you were great. Very pleasant and friendly, but unfortunately, she had to go find the most obscure steak knife you can find. I got a butter knife to try to cut my steak which was mediocre at best.

Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this...

My daughter & I ate here today. It was cold & raining, so we wanted to warm our tummies. We had the 7 mares & she had hers with cream. We also tried one cheese pupusa. The soup was so fresh & delicious! Lots of seafood & vegetables. Plus a plate on the side with rice, limes & a cilantro/jalapeño green goodness to put in the soup after you eat the fish. The curtito for the pupusa was very fresh too. It was busy, but the food came quickly & it was piping hot. My daughter has traveled the world & she says this was one of her top three meals ever! Excellent service with a smile too. Nice family atmosphere. I will bring my little grandson next time. I’m telling everyone I know about this place. Five stars...

Food is more or less, depending on what you order, portion of plates are big but the flavor is poor. Today I tried the guanabana drink but it was more water and sugar than the guanabana flavor I am used to from El Salvador, when I ask the server to exchanged for a arrayan drink she said they will have to charge me because they will have to throw it away. They rather loose a customer than throw away something that they know is not good at all. If you go there ask to try it first so you don't have to pay for something you are not...
