I LOVE Italian food. I picked this place to take my mom out for a special treat after an afternoon of driving her around San Pedro & her " memory lane" as she lived there in her high school years.
I am sorry to say that it was a huge dissapointment for us both. I ordered a cheese ravioli and she ordered the eggplant parmigiano. The food was not inexpensive. I purchased a small amount of provolone cheese and our two lunch entrees for $27.00.
There wasn't any comfortable indoor seating so we sat at a table on the strip mall sidewalk. The tables were all dirty so we cleaned it before sitting down. The utencils were so flimsy and thin that they were difficult to use. My mom's fork & knife actually melted when she stuck them upright in her eggplant dish. The food was very hot. Unfortunately, the sauce had NO seasoning as any authentic marinara sauce should. It literally tasted like canned tomatoes and canned tomato sauce poured over the pasta. The stuffing in the ravioli was overly bland and tasteless as well. The eggplant was a number of thinly sliced layers of not tenderly enough cooked eggplant ant with a little cheese in between the layers & covered by the canned tomato flavored sauce. The dish came with a side of bread that was another whopper of a let down. The bread had no substance. It was like biting into a puff of air. Not even the crust was firm or crunchy.
The woman who took our order was polite as was the young man behind the deli counter. The restroom was clean.
I won't ever order...

They serve everything from fresh sandwiches and handmade raviolis to hearty pastas, pizzas, and a huge variety of delicious food to go. There are even a few cozy outdoor seats if you want to enjoy your meal on the spot. The staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the service is super fast — you can tell they really care about their customers. The food quality is absolutely outstanding. I had “The Godfather” sandwich, and let me just say it was one of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had. Packed with flavor, perfectly balanced, and made with fresh ingredients. Whether you’re grabbing something quick or sitting down for a bite, this place never disappoints. Great atmosphere, amazing food, and people who make you feel at home. Definitely one of the best spots around —...
Read moreIt was OK. That's the thing, it was just OK. We ordered an Italian Sub, Godfather and fries.
Both were delivered well wrapped and put together, we opened them and each took a bite. The first thing to know is that the bread is HARD. And I mean HAR*D enough that we both noticed that taking bites was irritating the hard palette on the roofs of our mouths. This isn't necessarily a bad thing ... just something that you should know when ordering.
Taste-wise, they were OK. Nothing strikes your tastes and makes you go "Wow!" or "yeah, that's it" or anything other than "ok." Maybe ordinary is a better word.
The Fries were criss-cut fries with that red/yellow seasoned coating all over them. They were very clearly not home-made but just out of a bag of some food-service product. Don't bother.
Over-all there is nothing "wrong" with what you get, except just no...
