wow.
Came here with my husband and father for lunch on a Monday afternoon. They have a nice size parking lot joined in a little strip mall type of different businesses.
They didn't look crowded or busy from the outside but inside it was pretty packed and its such a small restaurant but the lady greeted us with a smile took my name and phone number and said they would text when our table was ready ( 20 minutes estimated wait time) but it was only about a 15 minute wait actually.
The atmosphere was welcoming and lively.
Everybody we encountered was happy and friendly.
After we where seated we where given some chips and bean dip! Different then the typical salsa and the bean dip was super creamy and had a nice little spice kick to it, it was really good.
The menu is pretty big too.
I ordered two chicken tacos, my husband ordered a # 11 combo and my dad a # 8 combo.
All of our food came out pretty fast too, all the plates where hot to the touch and the food looked and smelled amazing, presentation was spot on.
Talk about authentic tasting, fresh and flavorful food!
The chicken was grilled to perfection.
My husband and dad really enjoyed there combos too, everything was fresh, hot and full of flavor.
They didn't however ask my dad and husband what kind of enchiladas or taquitos they wanted and neither of the spoke up to tell them what kind they wanted so they each got one cheese and one meat taquitos and one cheese and meat enchilada . ( besides my dads number 8 combo that came with only one enchilada , which they gave him a cheese enchilada I believe.)
Regardless neither one of them seemed to care and happily ate it.
Portions are huge! Just look at the pictures I posted!
Each plate is Enough for 2 meals easily. (Besides my taco plate I ordered al la cart)
They have a salsa bar too with a nice selection of different types of salsa.
I tried the avocado salsa , the spicy green salsa and the spicy orange salsa.
The avocado salsa was the one I was looking most forward to since I love avocados, but it was a bit of a disappointment to be honest, it didn't taste bad it just didn't have much flavor to it, maybe this batch wasn't made as great as it usually is? The orange salsa was not spicy and tasted okay, The spicy green was not very spicy either but had a nice flavor to it and it ended up being the one I used on my tacos.
I also ordered there Jamaica drink and it was pretty good too, not to thick or sugary at all.
Perfect in consistency.
The restrooms where very clean as well.
Our entire bill for 3 meals really 6 meals because of the huge portions along with a Jamaica , coke and corona all totaled to about 42$!
Overall we all rated this place a 5 out of 5 because it was just that good. Look at all the reviews and there overall rating!

Read moreI love this place. It's a reliable go-to close to us that serves exactly what we're craving. It's well made Mexican specialties with excellent flavor and freshness. This location has folk art painted on the walls so it's a fun festive place to hang. It's a mix of families, couples and big tables full of kids in sports uniforms celebrating after the game. Very local valley vibe. Comfortable booths surround tables in the middle of the room. The servers are crisp, efficient, professional and friendly. They all have the same uniform, all black with a Mexican flag on one shoulder and the American flag on the other. They carry tablets slung over their shoulder to enter the order immediately. When you sit they serve you fresh chips and well seasoned slightly spicy bean dip. There's a salsa bar with more than enough variety for you to compliment whatever you ordered. My girlfriend is a creature of habit, her go-to at any mexican restaurant is shredded beef enchiladas with ranchero sauce. Salsa & Beer makes the best version of it we've had by a mile, no one else comes close. It's tender stewed beef like Birria, but in nice large chunks, not shredded. Well seasoned. They use some cheese blend there that is outstanding. Servers tell us it's mozzarella, but it isn't. It melts really creamy and soft, not elastic like mozz. Like pepper jack. I get a variety of things, sometimes she inspires me to get beef enchiladas too, but this time I ordered carne asada tacos. I've eaten about a million asada tacos in my life but these blow me away. Look at the photo I posted, between 2 tacos it's got to be a half-pound of carne. And nice tender meat too with a good grilled flavor, not chopped up chewy rubber bands that most cheap taco shops sell. It's so much beef that when you pick the taco up to eat it half of the meat falls out because the tortilla is not big enough to hold it all. 6" tortilla, not chicanita. I'm a big boy but I could only eat one of the tacos. Rice and refried beans with everything with that glorious cheese melted on top. Scoop of guac and rough chopped pico. Read moreHad the worst experience today at the restaurant. It was my father-In-laws birthday and we decided on this restaurant. First we asked for a couple of extra minutes to look at the menu, we'll the server forgot about us and it took 15 minutes for her to come take our order. Next the other server, Jenny I believe was her name carried a tray and it was leaking and it got the whole middle part of my vintage CK denim jacket. I tried to go to the bathroom and clean it and it was a loss. All she said was a vague "oh sorry" and walked away. Didn't even bother giving me napkins or a towel...nothing. While trying to clean my jacket I noticed it got on my dress too...ruined! I had a spare change of clothes in the car so I ran and grabbed it and changed. I showed my jacket to the manager and at first he giggled I told him its not okay he could at least give us a discount or something. He nodded and I walked away. Well I don't know what he told the first server but she would bump my chair everytime she'd pass me so most likely she was mad at me and even made sure the check was facing up towards me when she handed it to us so I could see we got 20% off. Yeah it's too bad the food was horrible so 20% was nothing. My tacos were supposed to be beef and they were stuffed with beans, and then they came with more beans on the side and salty rice. I didn't even try to finish one taco I got nauseated with the first half and ended up getting sick. Never again. 70$ for the crap we ordered was not worth it at all, not to mention a...
