Santa Monica Shore Bar — Restaurant in Los Angeles

Just recently moved to the area and after visiting once, I decided it might be a good local spot for me and my partner to have a drink from time to time. I came here over the weekend with my boyfriend to introduce him to the bar, I had a total of 3 drinks and he had maybe one or 2 drinks more, as we would order them at the same time. When the bill came, he was charged for a total of 7 drinks, plus my 3 drinks and gratuity. We were both shocked and tried to explain that he could not have possibly had 7 drinks and they must have made a mistake but the bartenders insisted he must have had 7 drinks. The gratuity is already included in the bills so we suspect that maybe they were unfortunately trying to get more in tips if they added on another couple drinks. Friendship and it was owned by a friendly blonde man with the most beautiful smile and attitude, and his nick- name was "Smokey". What happened? Where is Smokey? He also owned a bar in Palm Springs. I went to Shore Bar with some friends and the security guards were some of the most rude people i’ve ever met. They were calling me names and would let in people behind me even though I had been waiting longer. Finally, I asked why they weren’t letting me in and they said “we aren’t going to let you in at all”. I am genuinely confused as to why this happened and i’ve NEVER been treated this way at any bar before.
