There was major construction going on eastbound across the Vincent Thomas bridge, so we had to find an alternate route back to LB from San Pedro. We were also starving, and as we were driving through this totally sketchy-looking part of town, I commented, man, I bet there's some mindblowing Mexican food around here. As if by fate, right as I said that, my girlfriend said, look ahead, there's one right there, and it has a drivethrough! We have to stop! So we did. The "drivethrough" was a sign posted on a wall, and someone opening a door, walking out to your car and asking what you wanted to order, but we were not wrong about the food. It was indeed crazy authentic, crazy tasty, and crazy cheap. I would totally go back to this place if we were driving that way again.
Edit: actually, one time a few months ago we said, we have to get that food again, it was super good, let's go back. And we did, and it was indeed still super good. It was also further away from Long Beach than I remembered... I wouldn't go back again if we weren't driving back that way again, but I would...

Ordered a large order 2 wet burritos, 5tacos pastor, 3asada, 2 tripa doradita chips and salsa 3 large drinks coke horchata n jamaica... To go order ... 8:30pm... Meat was nasty n the tortillas as well they were all soggy my commute is only 1 mile. Burritos were slathered in sour cream n they put fork n knife inside the container wth? Burrito was nasty tasted microwaved/ reheated they asked if i wanted everything inside n i said yes it only had rice n beans n meat i chose..red sauce was nasty as well food smelled gross maybe it was old .. I thought they were linked with the taco sinaloa on w. Carson st...i was deff wrong hated that we wasted 50bucks on sum nasty food. Normally i give places a 2nd chance but we ordered enough food to make up our minds about it. Drinks were the only delicious thing about this place so i recommend the horchata, jamaica...
Read moreMany people seem to just drive through Wilmington and are surprised to learn that for others it is an actual Destination. For those who work and live here, places like Taco Sinaloa are a no-brainer. And some people seem to be able to "just know" which of the many Mexican-style restaurants are gonna be great. I don't live in Wilmington and I have no gift for "knowing" which places are gonna be great. So I consider myself lucky to have found Taco Sinaloa. It was busy each time I went, but the food was ready quickly it tasted great (I had the wet burrito the first time and seafood tacos the second time)... and the prices were reasonable. You don't get huge portions - but what you get is some of the best Mexican food I have found...
