It used to be the best teriyaki chicken around. It is no longer the best teriyaki chicken.
Restaurant was clean. The staff were curt, but professional. This is near CSUN, so quite a few places have inflated prices- this definitely wasn’t worth the $11.00 I paid. It used to be one of my favorite go to places for a quick inexpensive lunch. A lot has changed in 2 years- The bowls have shrunk significantly. What used to be a full meal is now but a mere snack. When I was there yesterday, I got 3 very small pieces of chicken, part of it was cartilage/bone and very little teriyaki sauce so the chicken was pretty dry. Did I mention how much the bowls have shrunk? I have a very small appetite, and I was still very hungry after finishing the bowl about one hour later. Did I mention how much the bowls have shrunk? Did I mention for $11.00 I got a snack instead of a meal? I know prices are on the rise, but this felt more like theft. Much more expensive than Panda or some of the other fast food restaurants. I won’t be going back as this just isn’t worth it anymore- especially when I can just make my own much cheaper. I’m so disappointed especially after looking forward to having it after so long. Too expensive and not...
Read moreWish I can give it 0 stars. We wanted to try Yoshinoya after years of not having it. We came here to the reseda location as it was the closest to home. We ordered 2 plates with white rice, beef and broccoli and chicken to go. We come home take a look at the food which was pretty sloppily served and quite unappealing. Steak looked burnt chicken looked bland. Considering it’s fast food place we overlooked its appeal and start to dig in, as my girl picks up a piece of chicken, a long hair that was resting underneath decides to tag along for the ride. In disgust my girl calls the restaurant to complain, the employee who answered (jasmine) asked wether it’s a long hair or short hair as if the size matters, she then tells my girl “it’s a restaurant it will happen every once and a while” I was quite shocked with that reply. Who goes to a restaurant thinking you might just come across hair in your food and it’s ok. We asked for a refund, we return the food got some attitude from jasmine in the process. I will never go back again. Beware this...
Read moreI don't think I've ever left a 1 star review before and I feel bad doing it but I don't want anyone to experience what we just did. We each got a rib eye (up charge) bowl. I had udon noodles and he had rice. That was the most disgusting thing we have ever attempted to eat. I am not being dramatic nor am I exaggerating. I really wish I was. I cannot attest to the chicken or regular beef. I know that what was given was not ribeye. I'm not even sure it was actual beef. Maybe a byproduct of the butchering process? I've got no clue as to what it is, I just know what it wasn't. Unfortunately, the "beef" was covered in a faux teriyaki sauce as well. This of course contaminated the rice and the noodles. Please do yourself a favor and skip the food but do pop in and say hi, the cashier was super nice and friendly. If I could have given zero stars I would but that wouldn't be fair...
