Yumami specializes in white or brown rice or noodles topped with your choice in protein (including tofu for vegetarians) and fresh Chinese greens. I ordered short ribs with Shanghai bok choy and white rice; tasted like Korean LA-style galbi ribs but peppery. The portion was perfect, leaving a satisfying savory flavor across the lips.
The people behind the counter are friendly, and kindly gave us two small bottles of fresh pressed bok choy juice to try with our order; it was a surprisingly refreshing and not-too-sweet drink that tastes like springtime blossoming across your palate....

So I was quite disappointed that I found both of these things to be not true. I ordered the short ribs with baby bok choy and egg noodles. I felt hungrier after finishing than I was before I ate. I absolutely would have still been hungry after eating 3 portions. It also took half an hour after I ordered to get my food. Several people who ordered after me got their food first. For $14 I thought the portions were really good, they didnt skimp on the meat and the noodles and vegetables made it a full meal. The bok choy in particular tasted very fresh like it came straight from the farm. Friendly employees who I think are also owners, she gave us a free water to go along with the Coke I ordered.
