This place seems to be trying to position themselves as a nice Italian restaurant but theyāre missing the mark on several fronts.
We had a carry-out order.
When I arrived to pick up my order there was no one at the hostess station. I waited quite a long time, 3 to 5 minutes, before she showed up, only to disappear again. After a wait of at least 10 to 15 minutes I was able to pick up my order. When I arrived back at my hotel room, just across the street, I discovered my Cesar salad had chicken in it, even though I specifically ordered it without chicken, my Clam Chowder was lukewarm at best, and the vegetables in my wifeās salad seemed to be half cooked, they shouldnāt have been cooked at all!
The food is not what it should be for the price.
The hostess should stay at her station.
The above is enough to cause me to not frequent this restaurant again but, on top of that, I believe I witness some potential customers being treated badly. The hostess told three guys in construction style clothing, although clean and in good condition, she couldnāt seat them and didnāt know how long the wait would be, she suggested the bar. They turned that down and decided to go elsewhere.
Right after the construction workers left, a better dressed party of five (who had came in right after I did) approached the hostess and spoke quietly for a few seconds, the hostess turned and left. A couple of minutes later a waiter showed up, picked up 5 menus, and told the party of five he would seat them.
Now it may be that the party of five had reservations, but it didnāt seem so. In my experience you tell the hostess you have reservations, she asks for a name, checks a list to confirm you actually do have reservations, and then seats you.
That wasnāt what I saw.
To my eyes the hostess appeared to refuse to seat the construction workers for some reason, perhaps their clothes. Perhaps the party of five had a personal relationship with the hostess or the owner. Either way, they got a table right after a smaller party were told there was no table.
Iām not completely sure what I saw but I know it made me uncomfortable. I wonāt go back.
I wonāt specify the race of any one involved but I will state that I donāt believe racism was involved....

Ā Ā Ā Read moreTwice a year we drive down to Scottsdale and LoS Banos is almost half way so itās a pleasant landing spot. A few years ago we tried M&M and was hooked. Food done well at a reasonable price. We liked it so much we always book at the La Quinta it shares a parking lot with. The past few times have been far less impressive. Tonight was the last straw for us, after driving 11 hours we landed in our hotel. Went to the web page to check out the menu and no prices were listed. Huge red flagā¦.. so we went ahead and ordered our favorites⦠Every single entree was horrible. Veggies over cooked, calamari that was more like a deep fried mozzarella, Cesar salad was covered in dime store Cesar dressing. Ordered an extra boat of Alfredo sauce and it was watery thin and bland, along with portion sizes noticeably smaller and then the price was ridiculous. Get the stuff go to our hotel room and they didnāt add any silverware, napkins, salt, pepper. So we lay everything out and thatās when we find nothing to eat it with. By the time our hotel rounded up what we needed to eat the food it was all cold and disgusting. We...
