Well to start you pull into the parking lot (watch your car doesn’t bottom out) the smell when you get out of your car is absolutely AMAZING!
Then u walk in and don’t really know what to do, it’s supposed to be a restaurant but feels like a gas station……
We walk in and grab a dirty menu ( which is surprising because the place is SOOOO clean) and decide what to order…. We asked if the butter chicken was white or dark meat and the fellow goes and asks the kitchen, comes back and says breast meat…. So we order it, a Chana curry (which we asked if it was hot he said no! Well they both were pretty spicy but a doable heat), 2 garlic naan and 2 samosas ……
So the bitter chicken is a mix of white and dark, and spicy….. so I couldn’t eat it….
The Chana curry was tasty but spicy
The samosas looked really good and we couldn’t wait to tuck in, only to find the inside still cold….
The garlic naan was crispy and absolutely delicious.
As for the presentation…. Well everything was brought out and left on a fast food serving tray, served in proper Indian dishes but with PLASTIC disposable spoons and paper tray…. If you already have to do dishes by bit include real cutlery…
The fellow serving us was lovely and all the other staff were very friendly and smiley…..
To sum it up, If the butter chicken had been breast meat like they said and the samosas were cooked this would have been a much better score and we def would have left a different review. We mentioned these issues to the young mad and his response was - i will tell the kitchen! No apology and no offer to cook fresh or discount it.. we didn’t eat the butter chicken or the...
Read moreThis is the worst place you can go for having Indian food and I'll give the reasons:
You might find nobody to receive you at the counter. Even if you see someone, they'll hand over the menu and ask you to sit anywhere, come back and place order. First table we sat on had curd on it. Other tables were dirty too. Food tastes pathetic. Chicken curry had curry of something I never tasted before. Mix veg will have 3 veggies but wouldn't have any taste. There is no waiter. If you need something else, go back to the counter and place the order right in middle of your food. The restaurant is owned by a family and family members are running this unorganised place. These folks don't have any restaurant training. Attached pics of washroom which is dirty as hell with broken and empty stuff. Lady at the counter was busy with her mobile instead of taking payment quickly or even greeting us. Ambience is not good, i dont know what the heck these other reviewers are saying.
Beware of the fake reviews. If i could give negative stars for service and food, I would have done that.
Plenty of parking as people who have been here wouldn't come...
Read moreIf you care ONLY about the food-taste, this is the place you gotta eat. Absolutely flavorful food and seemed exactly like a Dhaba style food, which is what they are. I feel bad rating them lower, which is just because of the ambiance. We had our lunch on our way back from LA, and we had doubts going in there but reading some prior reviews, we thought we’d give them a go. Of course, they don’t claim to be a fine dining place, they are what exactly a dhaba is back in India along the freeways - superb food, good enough service, very very reasonable prices and ambiance not to worry about. Harjyot took our order and served freshly cooked paratha and dishes, we just ordered twice after tasting the great food. Felt like a Bebe from Punjab would be the chef, spectacular food. I’d give them higher rating if I could be blind to ambiance. I’d go there on every trip to LA. We tried Mix Parathas, simple parathas, aloo gobi, Rajma, Shahi Paneer and everything was just how it tastes back in Indian dhabas- fabulous! I highly recommend their Masala Chai and Doodh Patti, it was just an amazing...
