Parra's Tamales And Restaurant — Restaurant in Los Fresnos

This morning, I ordered 5 tacos via a Door Dash store front online at 7:00am. The order said it would be ready at 7:40-7:46. I sent my mother to pick up the order as it was already paid for. However, at 7:53, my mother informed me that the order was not ready and she had to leave to get to work on time. I called the restaurant to ask for a refund. However, they informed me that my order was there and ready. I explained that my mother had just left them and they had told her my tacos were not ready. They said that the name she had given them for the order was "Mitchell" instead of my name "Krystal ". I immediately understood what had gone wrong, my mother has a terrible sinus infection right now and her voice is shot. They must of misunderstood her. Not their fault. However, no solutions were offered to me as a customer that already paid. No "can we offer you the same tacos tomorrow". No "can you come by and pick up fresh tacos later". No "can we drop them off somewhere." Nothing. They simply said, "Your order is here and already paid: we cannot refund ". I wonder if there was even an order for a "Mitchell". I'm not angry just incredibly sad when there's a complete disregard for problem-solution thinking in...

Parra’s is EXCEPTIONAL! The food is superbly authentic and delicious, and the service is impeccable. Ana and Odaliz were extraordinarily friendly, attentive, and thorough! An absolutely wonderful establishment where quality and consistency clearly comes first to the owner and staff. Food is perfectly cooked and presented, everything fresh and crisp, the coffee bold and hot, the ambience very pleasant and roomy, and most importantly, the entire restaurant appears to be notably well-kept and clean — to me, cleanliness comes before quality, and this place checks off on both! Pricing is fair for the experience and quality you receive; this place is hands-down the best Mexican cafe in Los Fresnos, and so far in my experience, the best in the entire Rio Grande Valley!! Super happy we discovered this gem……

The tamales and menudo are out of this world; the barbacoa, Al Pastor, and salsas are incredible. Their menu is extensive, so there is still so much for us to try! We can’t wait to go back….

We love eating here ! All the food in their menu is delicious and homemade and made to order ! But have you all checked out their new location for tamales 🫔? It’s called parras tamal factory !!! It’s the best place to find tamales in Los Fresnos! It’s a new building where they only sale tamales daily …. They are so delicious and I love that they are cooked daily and are fresh daily and Never frozen ! I love the rajas and chile tamales I can eat a whole dozen by myself lol but yall need to go stop by try it out ! The best part that they sell barbacoa and menudo on the weekends and it’s so good also !! I recommend this place with my friends and family all the time ! And I love that it’s family owned busines !
