If you're ever craving a fast food experience that leaves you questioning your life choices, I highly recommend Lota Burger. My visit here was nothing short of a nightmare, and it all started the moment we walked in.
Upon entering, we were greeted—not with a smile or a welcoming "hello," but with a grumpy glare from the staff behind the counter. The cashier, who seemed to be having the worst day of his life, barely acknowledged our presence and answered our questions with a huff, as if we were inconveniencing him. It was clear that customer service was not on the menu that day.
After placing our order, we were met with an excruciatingly long wait. I understand that fast food isn’t always fast, but the complete lack of urgency or care from the staff made the whole experience feel like a punishment. When our food finally arrived, I was shocked to find that my burger looked nothing like the appetizing images on the menu. It was a sad, soggy mess that had clearly been slapped together with zero regard for presentation.
To make matters worse, the fries tasted like they had been fried in yesterday’s oil. They were limp and cold, and I couldn’t shake the feeling that they were just as disheartened as the staff. It’s almost as if the entire operation was one big exercise in apathy.

From the moment I approached the counter, the employee seemed disinterested and impatient. It wasn’t just the lack of enthusiasm or poor customer service, but there was an undeniable tone of condescension and rudeness that made the interaction uncomfortable.
What stood out most was the way he treated me and my party. He acted like we were a nuisance and didn’t take the time to properly address our questions about the menu. There was a distinct feeling that he was annoyed by our presence, and he barely made an effort to engage in polite conversation.
To make matters worse, the employee’s behavior crossed a line into racism. His tone and dismissive attitude seemed to change when we spoke, and it was hard not to notice the subtle but clear bias in his actions. It’s deeply disappointing, especially since Blake’s Lotaburger is known for its reputation, and I’ve had positive experiences in the past.
While I still enjoy the food and believe the quality remains consistent, this particular visit was marred by a negative interaction with an employee who clearly made us feel unwelcome. I hope Blake’s takes this feedback seriously and ensures that all customers are treated with respect, regardless of who they are.

Read moreMy last 3 visits at 4th and El Pueblo have been terrible!!! Knowing that this is not a fast food/ service restaurant despite the looks of the business, I called in my order. You have to use the automated AI system, ( don't expect to talk to a human anymore). I was told that my order would be ready in 10 to 15 minutes. I arrived 15 minutes later to pick up my order. The last two times I picked up, the wait to get to the cashier was 15 and 20 minutes respectively. So 15 minutes to prepare the order and 20 minutes to get to the human to pay for the order and pick up. Today was much worse! 15 minutes for the order to be ready, but arriving at the restaurant, there was a line of 12 people waiting to order or pick up. After 25 minutes of waiting to pick up my order, I still wasn't even in the door of the restaurant. There were still 6 people in front of me. They only have one person handling the line! Plus they are inputting on line orders, making drinks and retrieving the orders. Just ridiculous lack of organization! I called the corporate customer service line to complain, and was told by corporate customer service that if I didn't like the service, to go somewhere else!!! I was stunned! They actually said that they couldn't do any better, and If I didn't, To go somewhere else! Unbelievable! I will go elsewhere...
