Burger Plus — Restaurant in Louisiana

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Burger Plus, and I must say, it was nothing short of an exceptional experience. The Mexican and Surf and Turf burgers I indulged in were beyond delicious, and I cannot stop raving about them.

The Mexican burger was a true flavor explosion. Each bite was a burst of deliciousness, with the perfect blend of spices and ingredients. It was juicy, succulent, and had just the right amount of heat to make it exciting. The Surf and Turf burger was equally impressive; the combination of the rich, tender beef patty and the delightful shrimp topping was a match made in burger heaven. Both burgers were so juicy and flavorful that they left me craving for more.

And let's talk about the fries – wow! Freshly cut when ordered, they were everything you'd want in a fry – crispy, hot, and with that perfect softness on the inside that's anything but limp. It's evident that Burger Plus takes the extra step to ensure that even their fries are top-notch.

But the delights didn't stop at burgers and fries. The pinchos were a delightful surprise, full of flavor, cooked to perfection, and kissed with the essence of an open flame. The smokiness and the depth of flavor in these skewers were simply outstanding.

And how can I forget the wings? Crispy and naked, they allowed the true taste of the chicken to shine. The absence of heavy oily flavors meant that every bite was a genuine delight. These wings were a testament to the care and attention to detail that Burger Plus puts into their food.

Burger Plus may be tucked away in the I-12 and Oneal area, but it is an absolute must-stop destination for any food lover. The quality and flavor of the food here are worth every mile of the journey. It's a hidden gem that deserves to be discovered, and I can't wait to return to savor more of their mouthwatering offerings. Small little restaurant but they make excellent burgers. Attach pictures of their daily specials which are real bargain. In my opinion they have the best burger combos in Baton Rouge. Burgers are homemade patties and very juicy. French fries are from real potatoes and not limp like 5 Guys. They also have some interesting toppings and specialty burgers. Today I had the 'aloha' Burger because it happens to be their Saturday combo special with fries and a drink. Normally I'm not big on pineapple on hamburgers (or pizza for that matter)...and probably wouldn't have ordered it if it hadn't been that day's special Burger combo. However, I have to say that it was very juicy and the contrast of the sweet pineapple against the savory beef and bacon (they put lots of bacon on their burgers) was very tasty 😋

My only complaint about the place is that whoever the owners hired to make & and finish their wooden tables inside the restaurant use the wrong type of varnish or polyurethane. You can tell when you touch it that it's never fully cured. The table tops always have this slightly sticky feeling to them as if somebody spilled a soda and it wasn't wiped up. It's a minor thing because they're very good about keeping the tables clean but it's something to be aware of if you go to eat in. Maybe one of these days the owner will hire somebody to sand all the tops down and properly finish them with the right type of...

Sadly I must downgrade this review to barely a 2 star. We had a terrible experience tonight. Our food was not all ready at the same time so most of the food sat getting cold while we waited on our last burger. The staff was clearly in no hurry either. To add insult to injury our burgers were burnt (see photo), and the fries were cold and dry/stale. The patties seemed thinner than usual, which might explain why they were burnt. This is one of the most expensive burger restaurants around, and tonight we feel ripped off. We won't make this mistake again!

---ORIGINAL REVIEW--- We tried Burger Plus for the first time this week and are so glad we did! The burgers were some of the best we've ever had anywhere, period. The fries were also surprisingly awesome. Service was friendly and fast, the order was correct, and the food was hot and perfectly packaged. What more can you ask for? We're looking forward to trying their other menu items!
