Chicky Sandos — Restaurant in Louisiana

The service was great and the staff great! 5 stars for ya'll! But unfortunately, this 1 star review is entirely for the food... Breakdown of my reasoning below: The SACUE-fantastic. No notes. Better than Cane's. The CHICKEN- WAYY too giant! You cant even dip the massive chicken "tenders" (if you can call them that) into the sauce, they are unnecessarily big and completely inefficient. The breaded coating is extremely thick and bready and crumbles off immediately. So then you are just left with this giant, plain chicken breast you can't dip with a bunch of crumbled breading all over. 0/10 experience. The FRIES- At first they seem good because they are seasoned and waffle fries. BUT they taste literally like fish. They cook them in seafood boil which you would think would be tasty- but the reality is they tasted like they were cooked in day old crawfish pot water. A distinctive fishy taste which was totally not fun. The coating here was also too much and super greasy and just a fishy mess.

This place has potential but the food needs work. First the reaper is actually non edible, Yes It hot, but this is a situation where you may not want to give the customer what they want, but rather the perception of it. The chicken is overcooked and not juicy at all also thin.

Atomic Burger's Hot Chicken is considerably better IMHO.

The fires are nicely seasoned so good for that.

Lastly I think you guys are taking tipping fatigue to the limit, my bill already included a 2.56 tip on it (with no option to remove). So $20.00 for a chicken sandwich and fries is a bit much. I was still going to pay but this is the type of thing that is going to backfire in...

Chicky Sandos has an incredibly simple and amazingly tasty menu of some of the best chicken in town. The Hot Box Combo and The Sando were both cooked to juicy perfection, with a crispiness to the breading that did not get soggy with time.

I enjoy spicy things and settled on hot level for my first time, and the flavor really builds on you in a way that closely resembles the Nashville hot chicken I've had in Tennessee. The staff are super friendly, and the service can't be beat for this quality.

This is the chicken you need when you're ready to graduate from Cane's. I would recommend this menu again and again! My only regret is that there aren't...
