China Wok Buffet — Restaurant in Louisiana

I was misled by the reviews I read before dining here and decided to leave one to help any unsuspecting person thinking of dining at this establishment.

My wife and I went to eat here for the first time since moving to the area. We had a very nice waiter, but that is really the only good thing I can say about this place. The food was cold and hard. I had gnats buzzing above my head while I was eating. The booths were peeling and were uncomfortable. My wife went to the bathroom and told me that they were absolutely disgusting. My stomach hurt for two days after eating here.

Overall, the waiter was very nice, the cold hard food really was not great at all, gnats started lurking around my head once I had begun eating, the booths were falling apart as well as uncomfortable and the bathrooms were extremely nasty. I can only imagine what the kitchen must look like in the back and speculate about how the food is being handled.

To top it all off, when checking out I asked the cashier if they had military discounts. The cashier said yes and asked for my ID. She gave me $1.10 off of a $28.79 ticket. I do not know how much their military discount claims to be, but simple math shows that I was not even given a full 4% off of my meal. I will not be returning to this place ever again.

I really hope this review helps you! You have been forwarned, but I encourage you to just go see for yourself. Now if you really want a good buffet I recommend just going to a casino. It may cost more, but it is worth it. If you want good Chinese food then I suggest trying Beijing Restaurant because it is super clean and the food is insanely awesome! PLEASE READ!!!! Went to eat there on 11/07/24, we spent about over 50.00 dollars. I have never experience customers service so bad. Here is the kicker, I am a black male. She seated me with the worst attitude and very dry. I had to move the empty dirty plates from my table, I received no drink refills, not one time did she asked us how we were doing or did we need anything. While we were awaiting refills, she was busy giving all Whites top notch customer service, she was busy hugging and laughing with the Whites, she was busy listening to the white's personal life stories. She made sure that she invited Whites back and she thank them for coming. All she did was complaint about how some people feel that China wok food was to expenses. When we and other blacks got ready to leave, she never came to the front, she took the money from the table and not one time say thanks. If blacks are not to come to your business, If China wok has a problem with black, stop taking their money, place a sign up saying NO BLACKS WHITS ONLY, KEEP IT REAL. And for a fact I know we will go somewhere else. YOU ARE IN BUSINESS TREAT ALL...

If you go, make sure to get the kids to wait for you. They are so much better than the adults. Don't trust the food labels. They're wrong.

If you order to go, Look in the containers to VERIFY YOUR ORDER! I ordered lemon chicken, Tao shrimp, and sweet and sour mixed.... Got shrimp in lobster soup every time. Their excuse was all FOUR are written the same way in Chinese.

Completly sure I have the correct restaurant. You may not serve the items I ordered, but you took my money for them, and gave me something else! As I said.......
