Waited for 45 minutes in the restaurant after placing an online order for 8 and taking my time to get there. Kids Eat Free on Sunday, but I was still charged for 4 kids meals. I was in a hurry to finally leave, so I didn’t realize until I got home that several items were missing from the order. Called the manager who offered to completely redo the order. Told me to ask for her when I arrived so she could make it all right (including the right price). I gave even more time before leaving the house, to be sure there was ample time for them to make the order. When I arrived, the order was not ready. When I asked for the manager, one of the staff came from behind the counter and came right next to me (masked, but definitely within 3 feet). He said he was Michael, implying he was the manager. When I told him I needed the manager (a woman) he told me he filled my order, and everything was in it. It was clear he had no intention of getting the actual manager. Michael said he needed proof that the order wasn’t correct, and he was ramping up for an argument. I had given this place enough of my time on a Sunday, so I told him I didn’t need to be questioned by him, he was incompetent, and I left. The workers there are not helpful because you are standing there figuring out what you want and when you finally decide what you want you tell them and they say oh we are out of that. So now you are back to square one to find out what else you want you ask for that and they say oh we are out of that too. So then I say we'll what do you have. They should say as you are walking in, Hi welcome to Dickey's just to let you know we are out of *. It would make things easier. After that you go to pay and the lady at the register was rude she never smiled or said thank you, then we go to fill our drinks both big containers of sweet tea was out. Go to sit down and the napkin container was empty. So I walked to another table and grabbed that napkin container and put the empty one at that table. One of the workers came to that table saw that it was empty and walked off leaving it there. Today people complain about hourly rates not going up well if people would do there jobs right maybe it would change. Bottom line tell your customers what you don't have. Read moreHORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! I placed an online order based upon the directions of Dickey’s email promotion. I made my online order and paid for it in full at 11:30 this morning. I scheduled a 4 PM pick up. I printed the order receipt with the receipt number. I went to the restaurant at 4 PM on July 8 to pick up my order. I was told that this was not a receipt and there would be no food for me to pick up. The paper I printed and brought with me clearly reads RECEIPT with the receipt number. The woman who claims to be a manager was extremely rude and unprofessional. She did not care that I was out of the money and refused to make my food . She offered no apology, no solution, and did not want to help. I would never recommend this restaurant, Dickey’s barbecue in Harahan, to anyone. This woman does not represent your restaurant in a professional manner. Shame on her and Dickey’s. I will NEVER step foot in your restaurant or recommend you to anyone.
