Some things in the store are salvage priced. Other things like the RAO pasta sauce you see pictured in the overview, that’s a good sale price for that sauce. It’s nowhere near salvage priced. This store is following the trend of every big corporation price gouging its customers to see just how much they can get away with. RAO is a more than expensive brand, and this store is doing their best to capitalize on every penny they possibly can just because of the brand. The brand on the container still does not take away the fact this sauce has been through God knows what kind of conditions as far as temperature, handling, storage goes. But you wanna sell it to us for almost as much as a regular retail grocery store. This from a SALVAGE grocery store in a time where the minimum wage is $7.25 and has been for 13 years. Times are harder than they have ever been. These companies are doing their best to put us under the ground with...
Read moreI don't know why the owner is making things so expensive now. If I wanted to pay full price I would go to a closer store that is clean and doesn't have expired food. I come here to save money so imagine my disappointment to find my favorite flavor ramon noodles(that used to be $0.10) and I couldn't buy any because they are now priced at $0.45!!! I went to Walmart after and saw them for $0.30!!!! Another example is Keurig coffees go on sale at a regular store for $3.99, here they are mostly expired and higher priced then the regular store price. The cheapest I saw was $5.74 and went up to $10! Rouse's had a bunch of unexpired ones for $2.99! Why is a salvage store pricing higher then a regular store? Have you forgotten people come here to save money? If I wanted to overpay I would shop at Whole Foods. Please lower your prices so we can come back again. It's a far drive for us to be disappointed by...
Read moreFirst thing you notice, it's very dark inside. Bad smells, wet and dirty floors. This is the scariest food shopping experience I've ever had and I've lived in a lot of places. Really kind of like of you were food shopping in a bad dream or lost in a third world country. So dark one almost needs a flashlight in this place, especially for the lower shelves. There were people talking to themselves, seemed like many developmentally disabled people accompanied by older customers all looking like they were confused or lost. Kind of as if "Carnival of Souls" moved to a supermarket. People seem to like it though, I guess you get used to the creepy dark, damp thing. I went in out of curiosity, always glad to try a new place. One appreciates Sav-a-lot and Walmart much...
