It was Thursday Margarita night and they were not prepared to handle the volume of customers. Ate outside and the area was a mess, reminded me of Burbon St. I had to ask the Manger to send someone to sweep it up. The waitress had to do it. It took 20 minutes to get our drinks and over a half hour to get a shot from the bar. The sizzling steak fajitas was not sizzling and there was shrimp and chicken in my meal which I did not order. I talked to the manager again and he apologize and offer to replace my meal which I declined since I was almost done. I did tell him they shouldn't serve their food unless it was prepared correctly. He offered me a shot on the house which I accepted but it took another 10 minutes to get to my table. The manager was very nice and checked on all his patrons and I have eaten here many times with this being my only bad experience. But really, was I the only person that saw the mass of garbage...
Read moreI've been here in the past and would like to come back again because last night's visit was not indicative of what I've experienced before. Service was extremely slow (even though our server was not busy). There were several mishaps with service and when we asked for corrections, she seemed annoyed. She was not pleasant at all and became even less so as time went by. One of the orders was wrong so by the time one of our party got the right food, most of us were done with ours. When it arrived, it was evident that the shrimp had spoiled by the smell. At this point, we didn't bother ordering another dish. The manager came over and said she would remove it from the bill. But we were still charged for a side of sour cream that didn't arrive until the end of the meal. The food was decent, but the service made the meal more rotten than the shrimp. This is not the El Paso I remember from...
Read moreGreat food and good service! We’re from Tampa and we have decent Mexican food near us, and this place blew them out of the water! The frozen mango margarita tasted like fresh mangos, but it wasn’t very strong. I added an extra shot of tequila and it toned the sweetness down.
We also ordered the bean dip and chicken enchiladas with queso (instead of the red sauce). They were both amazing. If I were a local, this would be my go-to place for Mexican food.
The outside of the restaurant made it look like a very small walk-up-to-order restaurant, but the outside is very deceiving. It is very large and nice inside. The entire restaurant has new tables and booths and the skeleton wall paintings gives a very modern feel. This was by far one of the nicest Mexican restaurants I’ve visited, so I was very surprised that it was very reasonably priced.
10 out of 10 would highly recommend!!...
