Fiesta Linda Mexican Restaurant — Restaurant in Louisiana

The 2 stars are only because the environment was nice. First they served my son a quesadilla with a tiny amount of (unmelted) cheese placed only in the crease of the tortilla. I asked for a shrimp chimichanga which they charged 1$ extra for - even though the shrimp quesadilla is the same price as a regular chimichanga. When I got the chimichanga, it had only shrimp in it (all other Mexican restaurants I've eaten at serve it with grilled onions and bell peppers). The 'taco salad' that came with it did not come with sour cream. My husband ordered the Zapata special, which comes with tortillas on the menu - but we were told tortillas would be extra. The menu choices are limited compared to other Mexican restaurants - half of the menu is American food. The waiter was untrained and stood there gabbing at us throughout our meal. Discovered this place by accident, was talking to a friend, "where is a good place to eat in Bastrop?" (I live in Monroe).

I was quickly told about Fiesta Linda Mexican Restaurant, so on Sunday, after church we dashed to Bastrop, and it was a treat.

The chips were as good as I have ever had, very thin, and crisp. The salsa was very tasty, and fresh.

The ordered meal came out as ordered, (most unusual), and was great, well prepared, cooked exactly right, and well portioned.

Really enjoyed the event, plus the staff did an excellent job, checking on us from time to time, and brings "to go boxes" before being asked.

The check was very reasonable, two eating for under $25.00, (without tip, which was well earned).

All in all, a place to go, we will be back, even with the 50...

This is one of the best restaurants! The meals are so delicious and there is always plenty of it. We usually have enough leftovers to feed us again later. The atmosphere is relaxing and the interior is always clean and beautiful. The service has always been outstanding, too. They are just so nice.
