Imperial Express — Restaurant in Louisiana

Today we wanted to try something closer to home so we went here today. I had seen some of the reviews and wanted to give it a try . We were greeted, ordered food, and had waited over 45 minutes for our food. There were other people who ordered their food after us received their food before us and left. Some of them was pick up because they called in but some was not. Some of the other customers wondering why we were the only couple sitting there with no food when we order before some of the people who walked in and ordered food like we did. I understand that they were short on help but customer service is very important to me . After almost walking out and going somewhere else for food our food was finally ready. The waitress got it wrong from the very beginning! We asked if the hot and sour soup could be "heat controlled" and she said yes. We get our entire order and had to remind her that we hadn't gotten our soup yet. She apologized and brought the soup out to us within a few minutes. I took my first spoonful and it was so spicy, I couldn't eat it! I told her I couldn't eat the soup because it was much too spicy. Hadn't she understood outer question about "controlling the heat?" She said she thought we meant we WANTED IT SPICY! She never took the price of my soup off our bill, which ANY decent restaurant would have done, without question! I'm...

This gem is in such a strange spot- and you need to eat here.

I love spicy food and asked our very friendly waitress (receipt said Ling, so thats what I'm going with!) to hurt me with spice on the general tso's, and while that never actually happens, they did a great job trying. Incredibly flavorful chicken- both my spiced up one and her honey chicken. Also asked if there were any sauces for the spring rolls, and Ling offered up spicy mustard which tastes like it was just mixed- wonderfully tingly with a hard kick!

Would eat here over any other Chinese spot; hope to see them in a better location...
